How to close to Biological Signals?

OK, so, after I do a surface scan, when I approach a planet that has reported biological signals, what do I look for in order to land as close as possible to these biological signals? I see different shades of blue but I never know if they mean anything. Anyone?

Blue means possible locations, not blue means none, some bio like different geology, you need to get used to those, land in the blue and look to start with, once you get used to which bio likes what geology you will get better at finding stuff. I believe there are a few guides around for beginners in the beginners section, but basically aim for the blue preferably in an area with a number of different geo features like sandy plains, mountains so you can check multiple types of surface.

Thank you!
