Newcomer / Intro How to get rid of or change out of range crosshair

Is there any possibility to get rid of red crosshairs that appear when target get out of my lasers range?
I use two weapon types, Lasers and Rail Guns. When target gets out of lasers range, i would want to shoot it with fixed rail guns, but those annoying red crosshairs are obscuring my view right where fixed weapons are aiming.

Set up another Fire Group and put the rail gun on it. If you have them as say Fire Groups 1 and 2 then when you're done with lasers it's one key press to flick over to Fire Group 2 and finish them off with the Rail Gun.
