So I have scanned the planet with the DSS which tells me that there are 4 Points of Interest, 3 Biological and 1 Geological but how do I find them, specifically the geological POI? The Nav panel only tells me there are 6 Distress beacons which I am not interested in and the view out of the window only shows me the same 6 distress beacons. I'm playing Odessey.

In Odyssey, geological and biological signals are not POI, the number indicates diversity. 3 biologicals means that three different species of organisms can be found on that planet.
In analysis mode you'll see that the planet surface will have some blue areas: those blue areas indicate that there is a chance of finding that specific signal there.
Some times the whole planet becomes blue, meaning that the feature can be found anywhere, some others it is very limited (for example at the bottom of a single crater or valley).

Newcomer / Intro - Biological heatmap - help please!
Hi all, are there any experts who can tell me what the different shades of blue / green mean on the planetary surface biological heat map? They don't seem related to terrain features, height etc as they either appear, or don't, at certain altitudes with colour varying a lot at the same altitude...
