how to map logitech G920 wheel to SRV?

I just finally got a stand to put my HOTAS and wheel on, and it's awesome, and I realized that since my racing wheel is right there, I might as well use it for the SRV! However, when I try to map steering axis to the G920 wheel, by just clicking the assign button icon then moving the wheel, nothing happens. What am I missing?

I know the wheel is connected and working, I"m using it for project cars, and I actually have a couple ED buttons mapped to the wheel buttons since I am running out of X52 buttons long ago. So it must just be a matter of me doing something wrong. But a google search didn't turn up anything obvious.;

Thanks!

You have to map it to SRV steering axis, not button. I used my G27 for this since, like yourself, I found it to be the logical thing to do. However, I soon found out it was very tiring on my arms and stressing my wheel too much (dodging rocks, scooping mats).

I soon switched the steering axis to my joystick twist and haven't looked back. I recommend that instead.

X,

You may want to restrict rotation degrees in the logitech software for a smoother experience with the wheel. :)
