How to rant properly in DD

Any rant is best treated by FDev as information. Vital information about what is displeasing one or more players.
I think anyone who suggests that anyone who posts a rant should be banned should be banned for seeking to deprive Frontier with vital customer satisfaction information.

I disagree with many of the assumptions you make. A rant need solely not be anti-FD, or anti-ED, it can and has been an anti-Doom and Gloom, anti-ED is Dead genre as well. And there is a way of advising FD that a player is displeased with some aspect of the game, a non-rant post for example. One that doesn't denigrate the company, doesn't accuse FD of lying, deceit or incompetence, one that clearly and eloquently expresses the concern of the author. A post like the latter would actually become a discussion, which is far more valuable to FD as a source of information as it would contain not only the authors point of view but of those agreeing and disagreeing with the contents of the post.
As to your FACT, I assume you are of the understanding that no one is allowed to like the game, or at least, no like an opinion you have put forward. I can understand that, but to classify everyone with those labels shows you are not willing to listen to anyone else's opinion which is a shame because even the most rabid, dedicated White Knights have been critical of the game at some stage and they have just as much right to put forward their comment as you or I.
If I was a White Knight as you are describing I would have reported this post and asked for it to be removed, but that would be counter-productive to the premise of these forums.
This had the makings of an epic rant - alas, cut off in its prime.
A simplistic statement, an instruction to the reader, and the good old standby - the capitalised "fact".

The devs should just say thank you when someone brings to their attention the disasters that they do update after update ... or better announcement after announcement.
But let's stop with this childish story: complaining is not wrong ... especially when you complain by giving serious reasons.

Thank you Commander, it was meant to be a light hearted post poking a bit of fun at some of the rants one sees here, I am quite pleased that the majority saw it that way.

Y'all ppl getting your feathers ruffled. The thing about rant threads is they pop up regularly. If you'd stick to one angry thread and keep it alive maybe your complaints would carry more weight. A real megathread for sure.
But as is now it seems people either don't bother to see if there's a discussion already going on about it, or worse' so muuuch worse, they decide their post is too important to be buried in a active thread. So said person decides to start yet another one filled with rage against already established complaints.
Here is where the "white knights" come in. Mocking and derailing. Not to "protect" the game or squash dissent. But because it's just so boring and ridiculous behaviour that the response is equal nonsense in a effort to have some lightweight fun.
Bombast and holy fire is either tiresome or amusing, especially on a daily basis.

it really was a gem to see your parody post after reading so many other posts. well done! What is making me laugh even harder is those that are posting in reply who seem to have utterly misinterpreted it and as a result are helping prove lots of the things you mention. I think for your own 'opening phase' for the post i give you 12/10!
