I would like to update my Inara signature, but it appears that the forums have permanently cached an old version. Is there a way to remove this?

Try - and I'm just guessing - linking another picture in you signature line on the forums, save. Then grab the Inara link you want, replace the sig pic, then paste in the new Inara linky.

Nope, didn't work. It's always the old pic even after trying a different pic. I wonder if the cache issue is on my end? Or maybe I just need to switch away to another pic long enough for the Frontier forums to internally purge timed out cached content.

You could try clearing your browser cache but I'm guessing it could be something a little deeper.

I use a tool called "Privacy Eraser" which is pretty good at clearing stuff down. YMMV though and, as always, virus check any download before using. If that doesn't work, it might be worth getting in touch with the forum Devs or, perhaps, one of the good Mods knocking around.

EDIT: without wishing to sound like a (insert insult of choice), you are clicking om "Save" after updating, right?

Hmmmm.... I can't be arxed to make a screenshot right now, but could you post a couple of images of what you see and what you want to see in your signature?

Oh - and we're talking about the FD forum signature, right? Not soemthing you (should) see when visiting your Inara page?

Ha, it worked. I cleared my own cached data and I finally see my updated sig with correct ranks. So in the end nothing is remembered by the forums - it just points to an address on Inara that your browser matches to old content that it doesn't want to download again. I wonder if a hard refresh (alt-F5) would have done it but now I've lost the chance to check.
