The Aircon is probably run on Bacteria scrubbers... Still want to stay in your Cobra? Oh, and don't forget that when you're trading in Yoghurts from Lave to Diso that the Yoghurts contain bacteria as well... (and not all of them friendly!)

How about something a bit more cheery? The Honeyguide, for example. It has a unique call that it only makes when it (a) knows where a bees nest is and (b) can see some humans nearby. It goes to the humans, makes its special call, flies a bit closer to the nest and repeats, until the humans find it. Then the humans crack open the nest, nick all the honey, and leave a few chunks of nest out so the bird can have a few grubs. Happy symbiosis. Unless you are a bee, then it's a horror story like two giant evil monsters join forces to destroy your city or something.

Oh also the Honeyguide lays its eggs in other birds' nests whereupon the chick brutally murders the foster family's own children. But hey, it's a step up from Zombie Fungus, isn't it? :)

Rather meet one of them than a Honey Badger.

In the consideration of what strange alien life might be out there, let us not forgot the weird and utterly disturbing lifeforms that occupy our own planet:

Just imagine what terrifying things have bred out on the Frontiers...

I would just love, love LOVE to see some other form of life from another planet. But considering the myriad of life forms that have evolved here on Earth, if I saw something from another world, maybe it would just look like it might have come from Earth? It's intriguing and I hope I get to see something in my lifetime. (Unlikely I fear).
