Hull damage, with visible models, are back!

..or maybe I have not payed much attention lately.. anyway:

I smashed down on a planet 3.6G and got banged up. and lo and behold! My hull got damaged!
Only wait; I cannot repair my hull, and it is at 45%. Ooops; I am well on my way to the far rim.

In the past, nothing happened when the hull reached 0%, right? Fair to assume this is still the case?

Yup, your hull integrity is a multiplier for you base hull strength if my memory serves me right, for example (not using accurate numbers) if your integrity was at 0% and your hull at 100% I believe that means your hull is really only 70% for example. I need to have a look for the accurate numbers.

In the past your ship exploded when your hull reached 0%, I'm fairly sure it still does. You might be thinking of integrity, with could reach 0% resulting in a 30% loss of hull strength but no catastrophic failure.

And there is no way to check integrity+strength out here in the void, right? All my repairable modules are healthy.

Visible damage has always been part of the Anaconda's model. Unfortunately the Anaconda is the only ship in game that currently supports hull deformation.

Regarding integrity, not really much point having the option to check it in space, once you have been out exploring for a while it will drop to zero, it correlates to supercruise distance traveled.

Anyone out on a deep space voyage is running on zero integrity.

As long as it still works right? :)

Aha, I just revealed that I haven't taken my Anaconda for a spin in a long while.
Thanks for putting my unease at rest, Crazy Catlady J.Leno :D
(feels wrong to say catlady; will it lose the point if I say catman? oo, that almost turned into batman..)

This is aweful.

Your bottom crashed into the planet and the part right in front of your cockpit got deformed?

Must be part of the 2-3 model front putted up for the conda.

Looks like we're not our of the '90 yet here!
ikr..
maybe an impact frame that distributes damage evenly to prevent breaches ;)
..however i think I can see through the hull a couple of places..

THIS^

The Anaconda is awesome unique due to its damage model. Its sad that we don't see it on the other ships.
