Humans First

Welcome CMDR's,

Firstly I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this post, it's been a while since I have started a thread and I know I said there would be no more until Christmas but this is something that has to be discussed given the impending invasion by Thargoids.

It has come to my attention that not all of us are singing from the same hymn sheet. Some of you seem to think that they (the Thargoids) want to talk or go for a walk with us on a Sunday afternoon. Others think these scum sucking bugs are here to help us become better people, this is utter nonsense and needs to be bought to a stop forthwith. Don't be fooled by the twisted words that spew forth from the 'Peace and Love' hippies or the deranged scientist's who think we can learn from the bugs – All we can learn has already been taught. Are we to ignore our own history and it's teachings?
They shot first in '84

I was there, so were many of you. No matter how those in power try to re-write history we remember and we will not got quietly into the night!

This is why I am calling for the slogan “Humans First” to be our mantra as we prepare for the war ahead of us and make no mistake, this will be a dirty fight. For those of you who remember '84 it was not an easy encounter to survive let alone win.
Never forget, never surrender!

Find allies and band together, prepare for prolonged disruptions to normal life in the Bubble and Colonia – Yes I fear it is only a matter of time before they find out where our little summer retreat is. They want us dead, all of us.

It baffles me to hear fellow humans make false claims backed up with big words and fancy diagrams designed to befuddle the mind and convince you their reason is correct. I am hear to tell you they are the deluded ones, they are the ones who need our help. Perhaps we need to conduct medical tests on some of these people to see if they have been 'altered' in any way by the Thargoids in an attempt to topple us from within.

These lilly livered liberals would have you believe the recently discovered Federation battle group that had been attacked had in fact been in the process of attacking a small Thargoid scout ship which was then aided by other Thargonian ships, this is just not the case as the images clearly show.

This was an attack designed to show the Federation that they are nothing – Mark my words, it is only a matter of time before this happens to an Imperial ship and given the Alliance is a weak and defenceless group with no known forces other than the PF CMDR's who fly for them, one can only guess at what the Thargoids first strike against them will look like.

Now is time for us to come together and put all notions of faction behind us!
The sheer notion of a power struggle between the 3 big powers has to stop now. We need all of the bubble to come together under one rallying cry “Humans First!

PvP Players – Humanity needs you!

It's time for you to face the greatest foe we have ever met. You, the Elite of the Elite are our future hero's. I beg you to rise to the challenge and heed humanity's call to arms. Cry Havoc and let slip the smiling dogs of war!

PvE Players
Be our Human shield. As well as combat pilots we need all of humanity to pull together to overcome this invasion:

Miners
We need you to gather the raw materials needed for war

Traders
Keep the commerce of war flowing and complete those CG's that will count so much towards our fate

Smugglers
Your stealth ships will be ideal for all kinds of specialist missions, be ready to make a big noise in the quietest way possible

Bounty Hunters
You will be our moral police, hunt down the enemy sympathisers and dispatch them as you see fit. Protect our trade lanes that will be vital to the war effort. Guard each system were a CG is taking place and ensure it's completion

Explorers
Be prepared, you will be our eye's and ear's. Jumping deep behinds enemy lines on reconnaissance missions to find vital strategic targets our forces will need the intel only you can provide

Pirates
When we have found the enemies home systems you should have free reign to rob, pillage and plunder to your hearts content. Fill your pockets and cargo holds with all manner of Alien riches to bring back. Make there trade lanes unsafe for even a bio-waste hauler

I call on all of humanity to stand united and come together at this time!

Please discuss the above waffle – As always please keep it clean and have fun, this is after all, just for fun.

Reality:

PVP Players - Will engage player ships, finishing off what Thargoid Encounters started, especially those without counter-emp devices so they can hit them while all their systems are down.

PVE Players - Will be victimized by both Thargoids and PVP players.

Miners - While unlikely to encounter much of Thargoid ships, will continue to be preyed upon by PVP players.

Traders - See Miners

Smugglers - Consummate at not being seen, they will continue to go unseen by both humans and bugs.

Bounty Hunters - Unless there's a suitable payoff, will continue hunting those hunting miners and traders, and those with unpaid parking fines.

Explorers - Possibly the only survivors, as they'll be too far out to get caught in the fray.

Pirates - Much like the PvP'ers, will prey on those who narrowly escaped encounters with Thargoids, as they're easy prey.

And what of Passenger Liner pilots?

Our cabins will be packed full of refugees, heading for brand new scenic locations, far from the burning cinders of humanity. The SS Eight and Above will be docking at many popular ports, taking those who rate an Eight or Above on long-range voyages to wait out the inevitable, and will return to repopulate a more beautiful humanity than ever. Ladies, line up.

Pretty much, this.

Based on past experience, this will be far more likely:

1. Combat oriented players will attack each other and turn in bounties to Thargoids for shiny alien trinkets.

2. Traders and smugglers will sell slaves to Thargoid steak houses (Humans First! - it is not a rallying cry, it's a cookbook ).

3. Miners will hide behind a rock.

It's all pointless, the Thargoid Jerks, (AKA T.J.), make SJA 'very happy' - there is every possibility we are going to be like ants under a steam roller, I'm not prepared, not in any way, shape or form.

My friends, it has often been said that I like war.

My friends, I like war...

No, friends, I love war!

I love politiical purges.

I love genocides of natives.

I love defensive blockades.

I love sieges of famined worlds, charges into enemy planetary strongholds, I love mop-up operations, retreats.

Wars across Ringed Gas Giants, in Deep Space, Orbiting Earth Likes, over Frozen worlds, and Desert planets, Volcanic worlds, In the skies above them all, I love every act of war that can occur in this galaxy

I love blasting the enemy to smithereens with packhound missile salvos that thunder across the lines of battle.

My heart leaps with joy whenever a fighter is sent out of the hangar bay and is instantly cut to pieces by well placed railgun rounds. And there is nothing like a torpedo operator using reverb pylons to destroy enemy shields. And the feeling that comes when a pilot launches screaming from his ships wreckage only to have his escape pod intercepted and ripped apart by heavy multicannon fire, is such an exquisite feeling. Like when ranks of fresh crewmen brandish their hardpoints rushing into the enemy fleet. It moves me deep within my heart to watch a fresh recruit firing over and over into the bloated and burning wreckage of a long-dead enemy.

The sight of Slavers being strung up from a holo lamp advertisment by their former cargo is an irresistible pleasure. And there is nothing more arousing, than the sounds made by refugees of war dying of starvation, or screaming in terror as their transport ship is torn apart by a hostile vessel. leaving no chance of survivors.

When a band of pitiful resistance fighters makes their final stands with nothing but small arms and basic planetary defenses, only to have their cities smashed to atoms block by block by orbital bombardment, I'm in ecstasy.

I love it when I am ravaged by a 13th Legion heat cannon division. It's so sad to see systems and modules that are supposed to be protected at all costs, being laid to waste, their intircate parts melted by the heat of a dozen suns...

I love to be squashed under the heel of a well oiled SDC gank machine. The humiliation, as I crawl around through the system like vermin, ducking the interdictors flying overhead.

Commanders... All I ask for is war, a war so grand as to make Witch Space itself tremble. Commanders, I ask you as a fellow brother in arms, what is it that you really want? Do you wish for further war as I do? Do you wish for a merciless, bloody war? A war whose fury is built with Metal, Plasma, and Fire? Do you ask for war to sweep in like a tempest, leaving no kind but Mankind to scavenge, from this Galaxy?

Than War is what we shall have. We are a clenched fist, ready to strike down all who would oppose us, with our might.

But... After enduring over a quarter century wallowing in the darkness of deep space, for us Elite, a simple "ordinary" war will no longer be sufficient...

We need a MASSIVE war! A war beyond any other that man's history will ever know!

I believe that each of you old Commanders is equal to a thousand of their sickly soft Flower Ships! We represent a force that could easily defeat an army of a billion and one bugs!

It is time for them to awake, The ones who would send us screaming into oblivion, and who now lay waiting. Let's drag them out of Witchspace, and remind them of what we are! We will remind them of what it feels like to live in fear. We will remind them of the sounds humanities boots make against their throats...

We will remind them, that there are more things between Heaven and He11 than are dreamt of in of our philosophies.

Yes, my friends! Soon, The Thargoid fleets charred remains will illuminate the night skies!

We have been brought back just as we were promised we would be. Back to our favorite battlefields. Back to our beloved war!

Attention, all Commanders of the Pilots Federation! This is a message from your Admiral.

…Commanders... let’s bring them He11.

I'm not on the list ... what should I do Bran?

Firstly, open a bottle of your favourite beverage,
Secondly, drink it... All of it.
Third, take off and run a BuckyBall race route of your choice.

We'll need fast couriers to take orders and battle reports all over the bubble and beyond as well as fast lightning strikes behind enemy lines.
As a Rat you know your roll, re-fuel and rescue will be needed more than ever, it's what sets us apart from the bugs.
