Hyponia Horizon Mission

EPG_Logo_Horisontal_V2_500x150.png

Eol Prou Group is glad to announce its plans for a massive exploring of one of distant and little-known regions of our galaxy, called Hyponia.

“We have been preparing for this step for a long time. Now, when our organization succeeded in obtaining our own technological and research capacities in Colonia, these plans can be fulfilled”

As stated in Eol Prou Group, the organization is intended to send to the nearest borders of the region the main part of its exploration fleet for a regular dislocation in close proximity to Hyponia.

“For this day, it is one of the least explored region of our galaxy. Moreover, the pilots, who eventually tried to reach this region earlier, had encountered a problem of FSD-error while trying to jump into these systems. It's not just strange, it’s impossible in our times and needs further study!”

Noticing the rumors and events recently happened in Formidine Rift region, more frequent messages of encountering with active ships of some alien civilization, and also more and more obvious signs of some other civilization activity, traveling in such distant parts of the space can turn up to be very dangerous and reckless.

“For members of our initiative it’s not a first distant exploring mission experience. Besides, all of our pilots pass an extensive training for such flights and a complete refitting of their personal ships under the supervision of specialists. This applies not only to exploration fleet, but also to combat units”

What is hidden in the fog of mystery of Hyponia region? We don’t know. Perhaps someone deliberately hides from us something that humanity doesn't need to know, either an alien race or generation of the man himself. Anyway, nobody will be happy for explorers flying in this place. But maybe, this mystery worth it to be discovered.

Where is it located?

What we want to find?

The reason why this region is closed.

What we intend to do right now?

  • [*=1]Route planning.
[*=1]Mapping systems in the border region.
[*=1]Visually explore the space of the region.

When will it start?

Our ships have already started working near the region.

How long will it last?

Until we figure out the mystery of the region.

Today got to the near edge of the region.
Here... more interesting than in Rift. I was there. It's empty, quiet and sad. But here, near Hyponia, many stars and great views.
Here must be something...

Awesome initiative!

Hyponia's southern borders were mapped by the Daedalus Wing mission way back in March 3301. I've been hoping others would go out there and bring back more POI info for the maps... 2 years of waiting and no takers.. until now!

Good luck with the trip, if it gets enough sign ups be sure to submit it to the Expedition Hub where it'll be forever archived for posterity :)

We already have about 10 pilots that will go here too. I think this is only the beginning, and we will stay here as long as necessary.

Thanks for the support, Erimus! :)

Interesting expedition. I flew close to that area on my return trip from the Abyssal Plains after DWE. When you say the region is closed, do you mean there are permit locked systems out there? And if so, how many systems are locked?

I'm heading that direction, but I think I'm already behind you! :)

Cheers,

Drew.

Yes, it requires an unknown permit. Region Hyponia closed completely. This is about 1000x1000 light years.

Neutron stars allow to move very quickly.
I'm glad that you in this direction too. ;)

When will you be reaching Colonia? I ask because the Mercury 7 expedition is also going to that region... https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showt...dition-A-tribute-to-Americas-First-Astronauts

Some of us are already near the Hyponia. The others in the Colonia right now. Several pilots now in the Bubble equip the ships.

It is not the mission of the navigation points. We plan to run between the Colonia and Hyponia for a long time to explore the space around the region.

Yep, then that’s the region I saw last summer on my way home, lots of locked systems, they intrigued me. I was in a 33.3 ly Asp then, I had a heck of a time crossing the gap between arms out there (coming from the outside), was quite a challenge.

Awesome discovery on the planet not so far from Hyponia! I found reconnaissance sensor in 30ly from Bubble. It seems that we are not the first who tried to explore this region.

At Hyponia borders in the system Phrooe Flye ET-F d12-73. We found crashed Federation ship remains with a package of intelligence data. May be this package contains information about what is happening in the Hyponia?

Dont get me wrong, but is this a legit find or just a screen (from near the bubble or from hyponia but pre 2.1) without any systemname + coords for roleplay reasons? I mean as far as i know no wreckage poi should appear this far away of the bubble since 2.1. It would be sensational if your find is true and i am thinking of flying there too then.

I can confirm this. I also found wreckages near this region in the last couple of days.

Just to be crystal clear, you guys are finding nav beacons and ship wrecks….over 14,000 lys from Colonia, and over 30,000lys from SOL?

If so, then either Frontier again changed how random POI’s work in deep space, OR there actually is something special out there in that region, because I did not think that was possible nor have I experienced it since they removed human POI’s from deep space…

Yes, that's what we need to figure out now.
At least, I saw two shipwrecks here. My colleagues found the same in other places near the region.

Yeah, its really. This sensor on a 1st planet in a system Agnaimt QO-Q d5-22.

Hm, interesting. Did these show up as blue circles on the ship radar while flying above the surface, or did you find them with the SRV's wave scanner? I'm in another region of possible interest that's also quite far from the bubble, so I'll go down to planets and see if I find anything there.
