I have found Jaques Station!

Anyone considered that the UAs scan the ships scanning them but maybe they scan whatever they are stored in (the station) Maybe the station and the local NPCs are imitations from Thargoids/Aliens in order to test out infiltration tactics

Logs looked so sad. So what now. We need to make community goal to start fixing her up. After that Station should be staying there and be beacon for new stations ("Bubble II").

And for the op GZ!

the beacon is part of the background simulation mechanics, but its a good symbolic planting of the flag for another bubble closer to the core

Has anyone told the android winter is coming ?

a good staging ground for different content and alien stuff

I was in a system just the other day and I heard clicking and crackling, that sounded almost insect like. I actually thought there was a problem with my sound card so to check I dropped out of SC and it immediately stopped. Regretted doing that immediately :/ Couldn't get it back

I think I've heard that before. Sometimes it's just lateral thrusters, or ship noise. But if you turn your engine off and just float in space, you will hear all kinds of clicking and chatter too. Mix it all together, and it sounds very insect like.

And on the first misty DW waypoint, I heard the insect noise while I was landed in a very thick misty green crater. Quite spooky. Turned out to be just normal background noises though.

We will need more than a week for that community goal.

Or perhaps a whole chain of community events.

1 - Get X commanders to Jaques within X Weeks (also, it's summer and vacations so not a good idea.)
2 - Mine for materials to repair basic services at Jaques
3 - Collect mineral samples from planets for review
4 - Mine materials for planetary base

lets drag it out a bit more, adding a nearby colony to quince which is the closet human settlement, or the pioneers collective colony which has been coming for a while

As far as where jacques is the nearby nebula might be a soiurce of barnacles come meta alloys and that might give an economic interest to drive development

It looks to me like the OP has found the station before ED intended! No obvious external damage showing, NPC trading ships and a nav point ?!?

The last points in particular don't make sense - if NPCs were docking there then its been *found* already surely - so I suspect FD were not done tweaking this and didn't expect anyone to discover it yet. Kinda weird that they didn't put it under permit lock if they weren't ready yet though.

You're the pride of the exploration community cmdr, well done and congratulations

yes it now encourages the devs to give explorers more content than they mgiht have otherwise had planned

I'm currently filling an Anaconda with 288 Meta alloys at Maia, with only 7 every 10 minutes it'll take a while...

The EOL PROU nebula within 40ly of the station quite possibly has barnacles and meta alloys ..... so there might be a more local source, that search will happen once more commanders arrive

Agreed, many people would find this a game more engaging if there was more for explorers to discover.

I have seen no confirmation the "lost" generation ships are out there, but they would be an awesome first step.

are there any barnacle hunters in the nearby nebula, or those planning on doing that particular aspect of the search and investigation ??
