I have found Jaques Station!

Well done, I would have missed that little station on the system map for sure.
It is disappointing that there are NPC ships flying around everywhere..

It is disappointing that there are NPC ships flying around everywhere..
its would be disappointing if those npc ships werent floating around everywhere as it would mean the background simulation mechanic as it stands was broken. He may have carried npc ships with him when he jumped or support crew and for such a station its a minimal component (or they could be stowaways or colonists for a new world)

we will need miners, the market takes commodities (including ice and mining) and theres mission boards, if they bubble is going to expand out there with new outposts and colonies over time you might be in being fitted with mining gear

an exploration cg, after a deliver meta alloys from nearby nebula cg would be a good way forward, meta alloys to repair, then exploration data to figure out where he is, then building materials to restore services, take on colonists and build some nearby outposts

Before all sorts of people get into code breaking efforts could I ask you to have a good look around the station.
80 DD-D 774-CE-2 could just be a serial number marked on the station somewhere rather than a code.

Saw this coming when they said it was going on its journey towards BP, (as many others) but i also thought there would be "Aliens" involved in the reason it wouldn't get to its final destination. I think it could be stopped there for another reason, maybe something else is to be found in the surrounding area.
But knowing FD the way i do, its probably no more interesting than more barnacle sites, since its been said it has been found in other nebulae than pleiades. But hopefully they might introduce something new.... hmmm :/

could also just be a random faction name for where jacques might eventually settle down, create a new colony or 100 and what the new system might be called ( that is if jacques isnt going to be left there as a meta alloy collection hub)

Jaques was expected at Beagle Point (soon), DWE explorers delayed their return to welcome Jaques. Jaques has failed to keep his promise (for now).

a few points in the last week or two micheal brookes has said we have all the tools we need to move the UP / UA / MA mystery forward. My guess is jacques may have been intende to come into play later on, they might need to move a storyeline forward

I have to say tho' ... FD must be cursing. I mean surely we were meant to get those news stories giving clues to the station's whereabouts in a drip feed over the course of weeks? To just stumble across the station like that (and I apologise to the OP for my "just", it took some methodical work and then an epic 22kly flight to check it out) and to get all those messages in one great big unencoded gob can not have been their intention. And then the fact that there's normal traffic coming in and out of the station ... I know the tin foil hat brigade will have a field day with what that "means" but it just strikes me as a monumental balls up.
