Well, what exactly happened?
Any why did you take a Python out without insurance coverage (= have Rebuy Cost or take the risk of losing the entire Ship)?

I had just gotten equiped to fight in 78 ursae majoras, i had been hauling in persephone prior. I accedently hit boost while heading out the slot at just the wrong angle. I cut my net worth by more than 90%

Hehe Just bought a discount python from Zaonce and I'm in the process of figuring out a route to Jameson Memorial with the lame jump range she comes with....
Rough to learn the lesson in a Python - any ship asp/vulture and higher can be lost due to insufficient insurance. Before that, insurance is enough. But still, this is why having sufficient funds is important. Especially since you were heading to a combat zone (or BH I guess, there's two CG's right?). Even if you hadn't boosted, you might have died in combat and still lost it.
Im still in the top 5% in the persephone CG hopfully that will net me enough for a Vulture....(sigh) back the Vulture...
I appreciate you taking this in relatively good humor Scott. Many a pilot has thrown a fit and cried in a corner about how unfair the game is. You did not. If I wasn't 24k ly away from Sol, I'd give you some palladium to help you out, simply for not having a kneejerk reaction. Well, at least you did it in a Python and not in a 230 M worth Anaconda, like I did... Hope it helps on your perspective, somehow.
On the bright side I promise you it is easier the second time around. Grind to a Cobra, do rares trading, and before you know it, you are in a Vulture, and it is all pew pew ching ching from there

Dont get me wrong, i love the vulture too, hardest thing to do in this game was selling it...to buy the scrap metal i once called my python.

Crap happens? I did the same thing in my T9 and couldn't cover insurance by 40k. Back to a T6 and a belly full of rage. Now I'm in a fully kitted anaconda. I didn't fly without insurance again
