Why is it always pythons? How do these people manage to play for so long and still fail insurance? Is someone feeding them free credits somehow?

Because it used to happen when people bought Asps, but they raised the debt limit to 600k which is enough to cover Asps. Now people gamble with Pythons.

If they raised the debt limit to 10 million credits, you'll start seeing threads on uninsured Anacondas. There's no curing herp and derp.

It already happens on Anaconda's. T7/Dropship/Clipper most definitely does with their base price and you can upgrade an Asp / Vulture (if you upgrade armor especially) to hit the limit. Die twice and they hit the limit almost immediately. I think we're seeing a bit more than usual because of the 16% sale - people really wanted the ships before they went up in cost.

a sidey is much more fun anyway!

Absolutely! The excitement of not knowing if any or the other CMDRs will ignore you or if you run into someone who can only fight against Sidewinders in his Clipper (other ships are probably to difficult). Most CMDRs simply ignore you, thinking you are some lunatic on a suicide trip or something. Bonus points for interdicting Clippers :D
I'm currently thinking about a shield-less Sidewinder, that space used by the shield generator could be used as cargo hold - I'll make a fortune by trading and returning lost stuff.

To the OP: Look on the bright side, now you have a reason to fly that lovely Viper again and then the Vulture. And lets be honest the Python is just another multipurpose ship, better at trading than combat. Why fly a ship that wants turrets instead of fixed weapons? Where is the fun?

The Vulture "shudders" worthless junk..no power, weak shields and powerless. Yay great handling/speed but crap tbh..rather fly a Cobra.
Purchased one and maxed it to do some Assaninations, really reallY disappointed enormously, especially due to the hype it gets!

To the OP #### happens, you can rage quit for a while or man up and get back on the horse.

Can't ever imagine a seasoned combat python pilot saying the vulture is a good ship.

First rule if you have to sell everything you've got to get to the next tier, you aren't ready for the next tier.

Thanks for the warning, I'll stick with my A'd out Cobra and may be buy a type 6 so I can' start doing big trade runs, how do you feel about the ASP?

The game should just take the excess, make his balance negative and not let him launch until he has a positive balance (which would probably involve downgrading/selling his ship).

Dear God, this is my next mission in life (once I pay off the Anaconda).
Gonna kit out a maxxed Sidey with an Interdictor and run around pulling people out of SC just for the hell of it.
Interdict pirate Clippers and demand cargo.

To the OP...sorry for your loss.
But it will only take a week or three and you'll be back in the Python.

Thanks for taking it so well and not posting a 'I lost my ship so I quit' message.

shields, power usage combined with the sustained firepower of the Python still makes it a far superior combat vessel compared to the vulture. That can still be used as a awesome trader?
Who puts turrets on thier python?
Have you actually flown one?

But why make a thread out for it? Just, why?
Have you not been to this forum before?
Do you not know this thread has been made hundreds of times before?

This, I'm afraid, becons the use of the following very ugly but nonetheless popular internet-slang-sentence: "I can't even.."

So much fail in just one post, wow.
The whole board praises the Vulture but yeah, it is probably a piece of crap and useless because you can't handle it.
Also... comparing a Vulture to a Python, really?
Remind me, what does a Python cost?
Around ten times the credits you need for a Vulture?

Next episode: Sidewinder OP.

I just arrived home with my precious Python the other day, testing it out in the RES site and it's a big weakling compared to the Vulture I had previous, but as it turned out not as weak as I thought, because some player had messaged me and destroyed me for not following up on the threat apparently, never saw a human there before so I sadly didn't notice a thing. Ronin of Amarak is a real peach gang, must have been real hard to kill a starter Python with travel gear that was engaged with an Anaconda :p

Had money for the rebuy, but not the second rebuy, so sadly that's my first Solo venture ever. I know myself, and I would quit this game if I had to grind back to this, so I don't want to take the chance.

Had I not had money for the rebuy that would surely have been my own stupidity, but I'd still probably put some real money bounty on his Elite player head ;)

The Asp makes the best rares trader in the game, but being more expensive than the type 6 it's a choice you need to make, you can rig it to go exploring, scan 1000 neuron starts come home and buy a python! Lol

Lol another vulture fanboi who knows no different. Flown no different.

Vulture is great for pilots who have just progressed from viper, but it has so many problems and compromises it's still a starter ship imo.

And btw it looks like every post you have ever made is a argument so please but out.

Well that was fun.

Baiting/inflammatory posts, and in general a thread that is going nowhere. Closed.
