I just installed TrackIR and right stick on xbox controller no longer works

Am I missing something obvious? TrackIR itself works great with the game (once I updated the games list) - in fact, it's amazing. The problem is I lose all the controls I've bound to the right stick. The right stick works if I exit TrackIR, but even with TrackIR running it works when I map it - as in, if I try mapping something, I can select that axis and it will recognise it.

I already had a custom profile for the game controls when I installed TrackIR - should I reset it to defaults then build it again?

Apologies if someone already covered this elsewhere, I did search first but could easily have missed it.

Hey - sorry to not be much help - but I use the 360 controller and TrackIR5 fine - this didn't happen to me.

I can just put the TrackIR down and use the right stick for head look . . . it works perfectly (I'm on Windows 8.1).

The only thing I had to do get it all working together was update the TrackIR profiles to get the Elite Dangerous one when I first started. . . . did you do that?

I did do that - but never mind, I just solved the problem: it doesn't like having r-stick mapped to free look, apparently, which doesn't entirely make sense to me. A shame, because I'd like to be able to take off the headset sometimes and still have some means of looking around the cockpit.

That's odd - because I do take it off and look around the cockpit - quite a bit actually - and it works seamlessly.

I'll have a look at my settings and see what they say.

Yeah, I noticed you said that. I just assumed you were a creature of pure lies. Or that it was a minor bug. Either way.

I might just rebuild all my control setup from scratch and see if it still happens.

Hmm

Do you have headlook to 'RS Click'? (under Mode Switches) - i have Button Mode set to 'Toggle'

Under Headlook I have default state set to 'Off'

I just tried it and in order to use the RS for look once I put TrackIR down - I have to click the R Stick in. . . .

That's exactly what I had set up. Re-adding r-stick to look broke it in exactly the same way, but switching controls to the 'Control Pad' default* and remaking all (or most?) of my changes has resulted in the same Custom setup without the problem. Weird!

* I may originally have built it from Advanced Control Pad or Control Pad with Yaw configs, which may make a difference, but since you lose all your custom controls if you switch I don't want to check.

Anyway, thanks for your help.
