That one day,hopefully before i die Elite and Space Engine will be 1 game... The details in Space Engine is insane,hard not to think Elite gererates everything the same way

Space Engine is very, very pretty, but to me it's always felt more like a digital 3d map/toy than an actual game. You can spawn in some ships and fly them around, I think that's extent of the "gameplay" in Space Engine.

Still, it's a "must-have" for any space nerd. I've spent thousands of hours wandering the universe in there.

Stellar mass black holes do not have accretion discs around them (at least not visible ones, most of them none at all). In this sense ED's depiction of stellar-mass black holes is actually quite accurate.

Only supermassive black holes can have an accretion disc, but it's not a given. Currently it's unknown if Sagittarius A* has an accretion disc.

Well it's only the engine ! Someone needs to work for everything else to look like a game !

I do not disagree. Looks beautiful though. Also I think elite Is really perfect even the way it is and feels but always dream bigger
