You've got told how the settlements flipped.
You also know FDev placed Sirius Megaships in certain systems

Based on your own post, the war was won with 4-1, which means they got some support, most probably in the settlements that flipped.

@LumpTheNoLeggedDog remember if you want to earn a Sirius Permit, you have to do it from OUTSIDE the permit locked system, so Sirius must be protected from retreat in other systems other than Sirius itself or permit access is finished .. and there's an engineer there.

Aside from random traffic there might be a POLICY that protects the engineer but I recommend rephrasing the question, "what is the rule?" not "hey, are you cheating us??" which it sounds like

If you want to play this BGS (permit) card, Sirius is around 120ly away from Old Wolds and closest system with Sirius presence is around 80 lys from Old Worlds. Their presence in Leesti would be impossible to achieve thru pure BGS play.
Look how long it took The Dark Wheel factions (imitators of the thru Dark Wheel) to move from Shinrarta towards Sol, 70-80 ly in 6-7 years ?

And hundreds of years later they cant become allies? Much like European countries that where in wars all against each other around the same hundred or two years ago? I mean if we are going to go by the "They should be sworn enemy's with old lore" stance Sirius and the old worlds are a very minor part of the lore in this respect, not to mention alot of old war was officially stated to have been re-written etc, But back to my first part, things change, countries, people, economy's, Factions, leaders, CEO's in games and MMo's and in real life...change

In this argument Pleiades, Witch Head, Colonia etc etc is also impossible through BGS play, hell go back to the original bubble and cycle to now, alot of "impossible" Bgs feats where possible, Powerplay (yes i know) Allows voting for systems, if enough people vote for a system 200ly+ away for the empire to move into that's owned by the Alliance let say went ahead (Has happened and still does) is proof enough that the BGs in this way in respect of distance is not impossible, Id say if enough people carted leaflets from cubeo and voted for ashling in Coloina she would get in there...wouldnt last very long though

I haven't been following this story but presumably the faction arrived with the megaship & would depart with it (an action only FDev can control I believe).

You are not getting your hands on my insides, mainly because the word you were after was "insight" - which suggests you realize people know what they are talking about.

And if this is the reason you are to rage quit and offer up stuphz, I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner. Why with the conspiracy theories?

Or an algorythm in the BGS that means there's a minimum number of systems Sirius must have a presence in, so the engineer doesn't go off limits because nobody can get a permit. A safeguard against undermining what is a permanent faction.

Yep. But it's also a Corporation, not just a faction. As long as they can resupply out of Sirius, their lawyers can do two / three hyperspace jumps - instead of just one - to get people 120Ly away to sign contracts. The pen is mightier than the sword after all.
