If anything is needed in the BGS it's something to stop the same thing happening here. There's already big chunks of the map that have been effectively "claimed" by large-ish player groups that throw a tantrum if anyone dares to want to play too without being a member of their club.

I would mind less if they didn't insist on hoovering up all the stations, so you're stuck with the same government type in every station for lightyears. Plus the majority of PMFs seem to prefer Democracy, Corporate or Confederacy, so there's nothing but blandness for as far as the eye can see. Heaven forbid you're looking for a Dictatorship

I mean, it kind of works because the only person who had an real say in who controls the system was you. Seems to check out for a dictatorship.

Although this is why anarchy is better. A faction type that goes to war with everyone makes life so much simpler.

decoupling Power Play triggers from the government types might help a little with some of that.
