No apologies needed. What's a few centuries among friends?i'm not sure noting the difference between the Roman Empire and the Holy Roman Empire is pedantic.
however, the tone of first post. well, i can see how that came across that way.
my apologies, commander.
If anything is needed in the BGS it's something to stop the same thing happening here. There's already big chunks of the map that have been effectively "claimed" by large-ish player groups that throw a tantrum if anyone dares to want to play too without being a member of their club. This is the human way, give us the ability to control stuff and eventually everything will be controlled by established groups and nothing will ever change. This same scenario basically happens in every game where guild type groups are given the ability to actually control the game world. Huge groups just take over and suppress any new groups coming in. Over the years I have come to the conclusion that this sort of mechanic is a bad idea!
I would mind less if they didn't insist on hoovering up all the stations, so you're stuck with the same government type in every station for lightyears. Plus the majority of PMFs seem to prefer Democracy, Corporate or Confederacy, so there's nothing but blandness for as far as the eye can see. Heaven forbid you're looking for a DictatorshipIf anything is needed in the BGS it's something to stop the same thing happening here. Colonia nebula has plenty... They are the self-professed "Rulers of Colonia", you know!Heaven forbid you're looking for a Dictatorship
Case in point though. If you want an example in this game of an area that's divided up by player groups' agreements and no-one else is allowed in- just take a look there.Colonia nebula has plenty... They are the self-professed "Rulers of Colonia", you know!
Eyes Carcossa.Heaven forbid you're looking for a Dictatorship
I tried that before supporting an anarchy faction, but I had to give that up because I couldn't stop laughing when they got into an Election with another dictatorship.Heaven forbid you're looking for a Dictatorship
I mean, it kind of works because the only person who had an real say in who controls the system was you. Seems to check out for a dictatorship.I tried that before supporting an anarchy faction, but I had to give that up because I couldn't stop laughing when they got into an Election with another dictatorship.
decoupling Power Play triggers from the government types might help a little with some of that.I would mind less if they didn't insist on hoovering up all the stations, so you're stuck with the same government type in every station for lightyears. Now you know that PP is protected from change, after all we wouldn't want to upset rubbernuke.decoupling Power Play triggers from the government types might help a little with some of that.
Did the temperature suddenly drop in here? Now you know that PP is protected from change, after all we wouldn't want to upset rubbernuke.
