You Sir, are a self righteous pompous little . Someone comes here asking for help and all you can do is insult them. You sad little man, if you've not got anything good to say then keep your mouth shut.
No offence, but I think he's got a point. He did not insult anybody. He pointed out that, lacking facial expression, inflection, tone, and body language, the only means to figure out what somebody is trying to get across are, lamentably, the words we read on our screens, and that means we all must make a certain effort to be understood, and that includes watching grammar and spelling. I'll be the first to admit that nobody's perfect, but I dare say most people can readily distinguish between somebody struggling to do their best, and somebody not giving a flip whether or not others get the point.
(I'm a teacher, and I have been dealing with kids and adolescents for a long time. I love all my students to pieces, but there have been times when I was sorely tempted to fling a dictionary at certain students -- a German one, mind you, as many students have, these days, a tenuous grasp on German grammar and spelling -- and if you don't master your mother tongue, how can you hope to excel in another language?)
I hope I did not give offence. I just wanted you to see that his intention was simply not to blast the other with grammar buckshot...
