i never expected that to work

so i minding my own enjoying a hr in the fantasy that is EDH. when bang i'm sat in the dark. everything had shut down instantly.
nooooo, i hear myself cry. a quick look outside and the whole street is in the shadows. phew its not just me :)
so nothing to do but wait for it to come online. took a bit longer than my ship after a thargoid interdiction. but eventually the gods see fit for it to come alive and power my systems.
powers up only to find my internet is down. eventually i had to admit defeat and call support. only to be told the power surge that took out the power also took out the internet.
decided to try and see if i could play EDH on a wifi hot spot using my phone. what a surprise i got when my systems came online. a bit of a delay but taking into a 12mb dl n 2mb ul speed its playing pretty damn well.

I played this way for almost a year, it works surprisingly well, just watch the data usage (shouldn't be a problem in Solo) if you have a cap like I do.

currently got it running open, barely any data usage. though not moved of this planet yet.
how much data usage you average for a hr play?

That highly depends on your game play. Mission boards load more data than just flying around in supercuise, for example, and an instance full of players (like the CG) will eat even more data. CTRL-B is your friend, as is the Data Usage Overview tool in Windows.
