I'm all for it as long as your targeting computer would identify people that were using autopilot. For... reasons.
When thinking of autopilots am I the only one to think of this fella
There is a video on Youtube that I am sure many men of a certain age now enjoyed watching in there youth when the auto pilot deflates![]()
Autopilot for explorers (with macros for actually using the scanners)
Set it going, go on holiday, come back to multi billion credits.
what an amazing "gameplay" experience.
One can only wonder if you read any of the postings above...
I am off this discussion now. It leads to nothing but bullying.
Wow there is alot of macho - Well i don't need auto pilot, i fly blind fold, naked and steer with no hands using only my manhood.

Please, FD, introduce an auto-pilot. I could do a brisk trade in the commodity known as 'AFK Tears' when they start getting interdicted and destroyed while watching the latest Spongebob episode instead of paying attention to what's around them.![]()
I think the issue is that everyone is only seeing one point of gameplay, myself included. Because all some see is solo play with no other players around and the rest only play in Open play. I can see the issue with solo and making a macro, leave then go to open play and selling what you have discovered. In my mind I think making solo play count towards open was not a good idea. You make a sandbox game and then say well let's protect those who want to carebear and not have to worry about other players. Yet still allow them to leave a mark on the world that others see. The only solution I can think of is making it so if you are in solo play discovering a planet doesn't count towards having your name as the first and the maps you acquire sale for less. It isn't really fair in my eyes to play a solo game but want to make money off other players or even have other players see what you've done. It's risk vs reward in my view.
