Release I want to help, but how?

I like using EDDB for finding commodities and routes and I realise that all the data in there have been submitted by other people. Sometimes the systems I go to show data many days old. How can I help out by submitting data? I'm not an IT specialist, so I'm hoping for a bit more detail than just what app or program to use. I haven't found any online tutorial, is there any?

1. Install EDMC: https://github.com/Marginal/EDMarketConnector/wiki
2. Log in
3. Profit

More detailed, install EDMC, log in with your Elite credentials and when you fly around the stations, keep EDMC on at the background all times. Job done. :)

Ah, it's really that simple? I already have EDMC because I like the ship export to EDshipyard. Does it really just upload all the market data automatically, without me taking any action? I think I see that places I've been still show old data, so it seems like I haven't contributed so far.

<EDIT> OK, I see there's a "troubleshooting" section in the wiki. I'll go through that tonight.

Yes, it updates EDDB automatically every time you dock at the station. Simple as that. :)

Is there a way for PS4 users to help out?
I am flying around Bava / Ayorun and EDDB is showing a last updated date of a few days / weeks ago.

I don’t mind re-keying if that is the only way etc.

I believe EDD also contributes this data via EDDN *if* you enable the Companion API. (I used to run edmc as well as EDD.)
TCE also is worth looking at for trading.....it will contribute via edmc and use your local DB to suggest optimal trade route and commodity.
The 3rd party tools are generally awesome :D
