I absolutely love the ability to spawn a mini killing machine from my ship...even more fun just to fly around with it!
there is just one thing though, they are pretty restricted to utilities and weapons. Only few combinations exist, The ability to custom build your own would be nice, by changing weapons around and utilities only, for instance I could have a Condor with Chaff, 1 Plasma repeater and 1 pulse laser (probably totally ineffective. just an example

custom fighters could simply cost more to build/ replace. no fuss there, they are cheap as chips as it is. a slight increase to make something of your own combat preference I think would be worth it.
perhaps the OC pulse could be brought over from CQC too, an excellent way to chew up your distributor
