Firstly, be aware that a lone Corvette in Open and in high traffic areas will attract much unwanted attention by wings, it is a high value target.
Secondly, armaments choice vary. On the huge, 4 mc's work well, keep one fixed, other gimbal. The others can be varied. Rails and PA's do well in the smalls, the 3 position can use a laser and the 2's could be used for turreted mc's.
I've changed mine numerous times, from an all-mc (w/hicap mags) to combos. An all mc rig can be quite effective as a heavy support ship in a wing. You are going to change it as you go, enjoy the trip.
