If corrosive shell causes the same effects irrespective of calibre, but replaces most of the ballistic damage, would it be better to add it to a small calibre cannon and keep the ballistics of high calibre cannon?
? The drawback of corrosive is the ammo capacity. But yes, usually the guideline is to fit corrosive to a small caliber weapon that has been engineered for high capacity (to compensate for the ammo reduction).
Capasity aside, is it still more prudent to put corrosive damage on smaller weapon? Or is there a relationship between fire rate and/or shell damage and corrosive properties? EG is the corrosive damage multiplied by the frequency of hits or multiplied by the capacity of the hits or is it just applied once on the very first hit irrespective of size?
