This thread rapidly became a ten page topic and that is the best evidence that someone is wrong with these interdictions or with the game balance. Speaking for myself, I never understand anyone that states things like "when you are flying 4A shield in a <some ship>, you are asking for it" because NO ONE IS FLYING IN A DELIBERATE DEATH SHIP. everyone made his best effort to outfit a ship given his or her resources. Why ED is the only game that picks on the lesser ships is beyond me; If you pick a mission that is for the MOSTLY HARMLESS, you don't expects a Elite Annaconda shooting you to bit is 5 seconds. But ED is such a game
Then there are people saying that the learning scale is steep; there are flat wrong. The learning of this game is IMPOSSIBLE without resorting to internet video's, training tips and/or this forum. So the game is not playable without this and that should be stated when buying the game (Prove? Pristine rings, Rares, Engineers, etc.) Also, for the people that do not like to play with others, the learning curve is even more impossible, as it is far harder to gain any progress on higher levels, as the higher level ships bring only a small amount of more cargo , but come with very much higher cost and insurance fees, And although you can buy a 1E Shield, the game will punish you hard for buying it...)
Interdictions and gameplay finally: I am one of these players that love to trade and mine and explore and I do not like the figthing so much (probably because I suck at it); so why can i not play this part of the game and not get involved in the assassination part, or high-res wars or powerplay. But no, ED is the only game that forces it upon you with interdiction, because having to much fun with the other parts if the game is forbidden: GODSPEED to all and damnation for newbies and non-combat players, for they shall inherit nothing
