Iguanas, Caimans, Snapping Turtles - Exhibit or Habitat or Both?

I don't even want them making larger sized ones, I'd rather we got some smaller ones actually, for the insects and frogs.
I agree, but smaller exhibits would be a lot more complicated to implement. As I said in the OP, the exhibits lock onto a 4m path, which is currently the smallest increment of guest path we can have. I know the queues go smaller, but there's been no sign at all that they plan on adding this ability to the regular paths, likely because congestion is already a big problem in the game. Smaller exhibits would either still need to occupy a 4m grid space (doable, if they split up a 4x4 exhibit into sections, but that means less versatility for us), or be something different entirely (I've suggested before that they could act like the vending machines, and attach to the side of the path, but that also means they are more difficult to customise since we wouldn't be able to snap grid pieces to them).

Considering how tiny the animal actually is (I expected it to be bigger, not sure why)
Perhaps you have a more one-in-one experience with the smooth-fronted caiman, another species in the same genus, Paleosuchus, that is considerably larger. They are also known as Schneider's dwarf caiman. Could potentially be what you were thinking about when having expectations about dwarf caimans in the game.

Most of my crocodilian experience is with American alligators, usually smaller ones than you'd see in the wild in Florida - I guess I expected the caimans to be around the size of a small alligator (I've seen small alligators, bigger than the dwarf caiman, in exhibit-like enclosures, too).

I’d be strongly in favor of having some species be versatile in this way. This seems like the only way we’d end up getting any significant additional variety in our habitat reptiles. I’d love to be able to use the iguanas in habitats, and not being able to cohabitat snapping turtles (which I really want to see added) with alligators would feel like a waste.

It would be so awesome to be able to let Green Iguanas roam free inside a Building or outdoors in a South American Zoo. It would also be so awesome to be able to just build a normal Enclosure for them. Before the Game was released and I've heard about Iguanas, I was so excited and already had a cool Enclosure Idea in my Head. Then I was a little bit disappointed because they can only be kept in such a small Exhibit that doesn't even have many Options to really customize it

Having the iguanas as habitat animals would also buffer up the south american and reptile population by a significant bit.
Having 1/4 more animals to place to before is nice, even though one would be a reskin of the other, but still very welcome.
They would also bring way more variety into our reptile and tropical houses

Count me in on the two way solution.

Although, exhibit animals would be harder to implement as habitat animals due to the new animations and behavior that need to be worked on. However, making habitat animals exhibit should be much easier, as idle animations are already there.

Snapping turtles, on the other hand, should never be habitat. Otherwise, we'll have snapping turtles floating and swimming at the surface of water bodies all the time, which will look absurd even if the 4 meter limitation for deep swimming wasn't a thing. They are also very lethargic animals. One possible solution to the swimming issue would be having them use the hippo navigation system when they are underwater, but even that wouldn't be satisfactory due to the lack of inactivity as habitat animals.
