Recently purchased horizons with A flight controller and would love to learn/explore/fight with a party and experience it at its best. I'm a new player, have been playing for ~1 month and have ~80 hours. Mostly I have been earning credits by transferring boom data and goods, and also scanning systems. Currently I'm on my way to center of the galaxy (in a day or less I will be in the Cat Paw nebula) for exploration.
I'd like to join some community under the wing of Federation that does some role playing to make the game more interesting!

My playing hours are a some point from ~17:00 - 21:00 GMT +1 ( Germany / Croatia zone) on working days, and anytime during the weekends.

Hi everybody, I'm a quite new player playing the game for a month and have done ~80 hours of work. I've been mostly earning credits by transporting goods and data from station to station till I bought my Diamondback Explorer and now I'm mostly exploring systems, and currently on the way to the center of the galaxy (the plan is to be in the Cat Paw nebula tomorrow).
After I get back with some credits, the idea is to go role-playing mostly inside the Federation space (with which I'm working on to get Alliance).

Are there groups that do some planed role-playing/missions open for new nuggets?

I plan to become a Miner, ive done this in EVE and its my style usually, ive already looked at numerous newbie threads and basic tips, my future goal (i assume is decent) is to get enough to get into a ASPexplorer for my first real Mining ship!

UK Commander - about 120+ hours play looking to join a group. At present I am using HTC Vive + Thrustmaster HOTAs 4 (looking to upgrade this very very very soon but would like people's opinions and experiences before I shell out more cash)
So far I have been exploring, mission running and a little bounty hunting. I have not tried mining yet and only done a little planet running but I am open to anything really apart from Pirating (Honest Dude).
What I am looking for is like mind people who like to have a laugh, as well as guidance and direction within this massive Sim (not calling it a game cause games have end goals) and ultimately become part of the Group Family
I am an old Eve Online Player (7 Years), I was a Director of UK Corp for anyone who used to play (same ingame name in ED as Eve - Eric Hunt), I was also one of the PVP Alliance Commanders for a few of the Alliances our corporation became part of, as well as an Alliance Director in all but the first.

Hopefully that is enough information about myself that you Guys can make a decision as to if I can make an approach to your Group or not as the case maybe

Hello! I'm a relative newcomer to Elite (even though I toyed with it for a while) and I am clueless. I am used to challenging games that at least give me a direction. Elite, as far as I can tell, (and not unlike a certain space MMO that I used to play for a long time) cannot be figured out without reading tons of guides, which I am just not in the mood to do. So basically looking for a guru. Someone bored enough to take me on as a padawan learner and show around. So far I've been roaming aimlessly here and there doing missions, losing ships and trying to find my way in Elite with little success. So yeah, anyone looking to become a master - poke me. Greetings, CMDRs.

This post begins my careful search for a small group or clan. The size and allegiances of the group/clan are barely relevant to me, what's important is that I find a good fit, so if you're looking over this forum for a really solid recruit, this post is for you. I'm not interested in starting any new groups; what I have in mind is joining a relatively established group with similar interests and goals.

I am a canny and patient gamer. I've been playing ED for about a month, got Horizons about a week ago. I've spent as much time reading as I have actually flying. I am confident that I understand the game, the various roles available to CMDRs, and that most of my noob mistakes and questions are out of the way. I've achieved a combat rank of Competent. It took awhile, as I don't spend a lot of time in conflict zones but prefer bounty hunting and assassination. I love the interdiction mini-game.

I am looking to get into open-game PvP, but I'm not particularly interested in the CQC or fair fights. The right group for me will be a group that forms wings to hunt player enemies, whether it be as pirates, in competition for community goals and larger-scale conflicts, or even just a bounty hunter team. I don't want to cut my teeth on open world PvP on my own--I want to be trained by a solid group that recognizes my talent and potential. I want to be a part of something bigger than myself, and I'm willing to put time and effort into a group and group goals. I don't expect to have my hand held. I have the patience to follow instructions and plans and I'm not intimidated by difficulty. I'll take the time to master whatever skills I don't already have. I will admit that I am really interested in piracy, but I'm not sure how viable it is in ED with solo/private play being a thing.

I'm US Central Time Zone, but I keep odd hours and can be flexible. I've got a headset and various voice comm software. I use a keyboard and mouse because I think they give me an edge over my joystick (even at 1% sensitivity it is just not as precise as the mouse/kbd). I'm currently flying a vulture, but it's not as good as I want it to be even after lots of upgrades. I am not sure what ship will have the combination of firepower and maneuverability I am hoping for. I'm sure that like-minded players will know what to advise.

CMDR Aelund Nolen in game, have been playing for about a week now, looking for a newbie friendly EU based group. My TZ is GMT+3.
I'm mainly interested in exploration, a little bit of trading and maybe bounty hunting once I have a solid amount of money to spend on ships while I figure out combat in this game
Right now I have around 14 mil in assets, Harmless 96% in combat, Merchant 19% in trade and Trailblazer 62% in exploration.
If I find a good group and feel that I'm not going to get bored of this game any time soon, I will probably buy a HOTAS(looking at Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X atm as I've heard it's a good one for it's price range).
