Im sooooo bored thread

Yea, because going outside somehow makes this game a lot better. Good logic. Makes perfect sense.

No, I don't think the suggestion was that it'd make the game better.

Time will make the game better. And if someone is saying they're burnt out from doing something that's a leasure activity then the glaringly obvious solution is to stop doing it.

This is one of those threads where many people will nod knowingly in agreement but say nothing, for fear of the usual brigade coming in and telling you to just quit complaining or go do something else. ..

And this is one of those posts trying to be gritty and confrontational... for what reason exactly?

This thread has not been hostile at all.... and clearly the OP IS suffering from burnout, so what else is there other than to take a break and play or do something else.... what else is there?

Clearly you are hoping for a petty rant thread, but you jumped the gun and showed you hand at your real motives.

troll score 3/10. Must try harder ;)

This is a game in development. Every release is going to bring something different. Some releases give little to certain players, some will give more. It is though a journey to be enjoyed. I took a very simple approach from the start. Enjoy each milestone for what it is and do not overplay each stage. You play any game too much and you get jaded.

Errr... I'm a bit lost to that :-S ?! If that came across confrontational, I apologise, it certainly wasn't intended to be?! And certainly not to you, sir, I completely agree with your advice. Burn-out = take a break, absolutely.

There is nothing else realistically that I would expect could happen. We can get all pie-in-the-sky about things but let's save our breath ;)

The thing is, I only play a little (even less now than at launch) because I spend time with my family, work and enjoy things other than gaming.

I used to spend most of my spare time gaming. When I hit the burn I just moved in to something else. I am proud of my record of not making one single thread, since 1999, telling the world I'm bored of the game, asking what I should do next or, the most prized of them all, no "I quit" threads. Ever.

I'll give feedback to games that I care about and it's always been constructive. But if I have no interest in a game, I'm gone. I don't feel the need to pretend I have the game's interests at heart to justify a moan. If I'm here posting, I care. It's when I don't care that I'm gone.

But given I don't play much, I'm a long, long way off getting bored or burned out and I'm quite looking forward to each update.

There's more to life than games. But even for those who don't agree, there's more to games than just one.

Ps not confronting the op here. Just those who get upset at a game because it isn't what they want.

so true, so true

well for me the game is all about community, if you have a few good people around you, the game is great

otherwise it's a lonely place but some people prefer that

so, it's true that we have the possibility to write our own stories here (not just a marketing slogan). on the other hand we could do that on a piece of paper also ;) I'm joking, see ya bro

Someone mentioned Fallout3?

Hells I played that through 3 times.
How many hours is that. ... 200+?

I wish I could forget it all and do it again!

I haven't played for several weeks now and to be honest I don't miss it.
ED is not booring, just aimless.
Once you have done the set pieces there is nothing left, unless just griding to Elite is your thing.
So I'm waiting to see what happens. Either the game will blossom and I'll be attrracted back or it wont.

In the meantime I'm doing some retro gaming. Blood. Alien V Predator. Medal of Honour and Steel Panthers.

Been said already, find something else for now and come back later when there is some new stuff. I have just found Grand Prix Legends (and its myriad of mods) and I am having a wail of a time hacking round old courses in frankly dangerous Lotus's etc. Climbing back into a Cobby or Vulture is a relief by comparison.
