Immersion breaking discovery in exploration : cannot pass a literal 'wall'

Hm, interesting...
There's indeed a distinct "Box" around the Nebulas there.

OOCHORS AH-Q C20-6 is a prominent corner, all three adjacent rectangular "walls" are easily visible when zoomed out and panning around.

As others said, probably a remnance of the typical mix from Stellar forge and a merged actual star cagalogue of the region.
The most visible "artifacts" I know are the common 2MASS streams of ultra-dense stars, forming highly visible "beams of stars" in various places.

PS.
-416 Coordinate and located almost between two spiral arms is always a difficult place, inbetween the spiral arms things always get very scarse once the center Y-Coordinate is left far to above or below.
Move up towards the 0-Coordinate and enter from above. That should work without issues.

Traversing spirals arms >400LY above or below the center commonly requires ~30LY (or more) Jumprange. The higher/lower you go, the more JumpRange is needed and it gets very difficult fast (unless you find a lucky spot to cross).

Basically, what FalconFly said.

That "edge" seems to bound two very dense nebulas that are near the edge of space. To get the procedural generation right, you'd need to match auto-generated density with the density of neighbour cubes *and* the cube itself. Because of those high density nebulas, the cube itself has a disproportionately high amount of auto-generated stars, enough to "stick out" from it's neighbours. If you go "up" a bit, the effect is much less noticable.

For what it's worth, those stars beyond that wall are still pretty reachable, especially with FSD boosts.
