Description

The Witch Head Nebula has been confirmed as a primary source of meta-alloys, following an initiative hosted by Aegis Research. The news has triggered efforts to swiftly establish a human presence in the area.

Aegis Research released this statement from Professor Alba Tesreau:

Having analysed large amounts of exploration data, graciously provided by the galactic community, we can confirm that the Witch Head Nebula contains enough barnacle sites to meet the demand for meta-alloys. I am confident that these sites will offer a suitable alternative to the exhausted barnacles in the Pleiades Nebula.

The Empire has already dispatched advance teams to the region, with the Liabeze Patron's Party coordinating efforts to establish an Imperial presence in the Witch Head Nebula.

Pilots seeking to contribute to this initiative should head to Barlowe Station in the Kaiakul system between the 11^th and 22^nd of July 3305.

To earn rewards you must sign up as an active participant before delivering Palladium, Superconductors and Insulating Membranes to Barlowe Station in the Kaiakul system.

Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.

The three superpowers have declared successful conclusions for their respective commodity drives. These efforts were part of a wider initiative to secure an alternative source of meta-alloys in the Witch Head Nebula.

On behalf of the Empire, General Anthony Corvus confirmed that two Ocellus stations and three megaships would soon be established in the Witch Head Nebula.

"We are confident that these resources will provide an adequate platform to establish an Imperial presence in the area" said Corvus.

Requiring items for stations makes sense but realy the Empire a great big power. does not have mega ships and capital class ships allready that can be diverted to go to the nebula this week to start farming meta -alloys, that does not link up with the Empires power level and resources...
Yes for a low power play and resources of the alliance that makes sense but not the Other two power houses...

The Alliance is just coming of a Power play attempted take over so they could have been dropped that would avoid the need for the third power CG ..

This is a CG to build targets that the Thargoids (who have mysteriously retreated from the core systems, by the way) will attack in Phase 3. The winning move would be to build no stations to avoid provoking the Thargoids, but here we go again...

Our target CG station is a lump of trash, so will encurage people to leave to collect items.. Does not even have high grade shields for sale yet had to wait over an hours to transfer the size 6 shield.. so were to go shopping to next choices, choices,

Hey all, sorry for the dumb question but if I assist the empire CG, that wont align me with the empire will it? I enjoy trading and I dont want to get involved in any power plays. But ultimately I would like to get a cutter one day, so I would prefer to keep in the best graces with the empire.

It will ally you with the local Empire Station faction due to you selling items at the trash station..
Not a Power play faction...

For power play you have to Manually select the Power in the Powers screen and select sign up to power...
No power play actions can be triggered in normal ship actions you have to on purpose use the Power screens...
