Improvised Components at Diso

Traditionally, Improvised Components have been found in high-population Alliance/Independent systems in a state of Civil Unrest.

Well, Diso is a high-population Alliance system whose controlling faction is now in a state of Civil Unrest.

So, while I was there hauling in grain for the CG I fetched along my HGE hunter and took a couple of breaks to go and check the nav beacon.

No luck on the first attempt but on the second I did get one HGE, faction state Civil Unrest, containing a magnificent nine Improvised Components.

Not what you'd call a cornucopia, but on the other hand being able to go looking for Improvised Components and actually finding them is not exactly a common experience these days.

So perhaps worth checking out, especially if you're there anyway for the CG.

Just checked eddb and apparently Lave, Orrere and Reorte are also high-population Alliance/Independent systems in a state of Civil Unrest.

Just picked up a Shedload of these in Riedquat.

They’re not Alliance either.

It is, however, Independent, which from the point of view of HGE hunting is as good as.

Now that's interesting, because Riedquat is Federation, and one did not of old look for IC in Federation systems. But yes, it is in Civil Unrest.

Edit: it has three Federation and three Independent factions. In principle it would be interesting to know which gave you the HGEs, though I don't keep track so I can hardly expect you to.

The lore may say it's an anarchy, but eddb says it's low security.

I've never heard it suggested that security has any bearing on what's in HGEs, but of course that doesn't mean it doesn't.

I got one of these in Diso last night.

It's worth it spending an hour or two travelling between the assorted systems - there's six or so systems around Diso that are in civil unrest, if you also look a bit below and above. I plotted in one system that was in outbreak as well. Got 30 or so Improvised Components, along with 40ish Proto Heat Radiators, some Core Dynamics Composites, Proto Radiolic Alloys and such.

Alas, Diso is no longer in Civil Unrest, a state that has gone back to near- unobtainium according to eddb:

OK, just done as much as I'm likely to do for this week's CG unless they seriously raise the amount they pay per container for moving what is clearly toxic cargo.

In the course of so doing, I was able to scan the Nav Beacon at Diso four times.

I got nothing. Nada. Nichts. No HGEs, good, bad or Improvised Components. And indeed not that many Signal Sources of any description.

One might almost imagine that Diso had been, oh I don't know, blighted.

Sorry no, it was Sunday I believe. I work long hours and one day merges into the next so I tend to reply when I read thread not necessarily time pertinent.
