I think frontier confirmed no extinct animals

I don't remember anywhere that Frontier stated no extinct animals.. That would be odd considering many of the animals coming to the game could become extinct in the next few years (hopefully not) but still, my point stands, an extinct mammal DLC would be great AND educational! (not dinosaurs though).

There’s a difference in animals who were wiped out in recent years and animals that died thousands of years ago, you can’t compare a dodo to say a current rhino subspecies

The Dodo extinction was around 357 years ago in recorded history and was caused by humans. I wouldn't say it was that long compared to say a dinosaur. Much closer to rhinos in time and in cause.

Until the 1930s we thought coelacanths died out 65 million years ago.
Compared to them, the Dodo got extincted an hour ago.

But I think we should just wait and see.

I don't think that the sloth is a sign that there's actual sloths in the game. I mean, its just a poster. The gorilla statues are different though, as those are a building item, and why wouldn't they have gorillas in a zoo game?

That cat picture looks like a Jaguar the way the head is shaped.
