News Info on Beta and access

Cute how this is a moderator's response. They completely ignore the fact that people are asking for answers they are not receiving, and then only responds to someone making mocking remarks to those who may complain about not getting those answers. I'm thinking they are all kids at FD....lol.

Beta Commander's names, and Forums

Ok, I have preordered, have the tutorials down, and have ordered my Thrustmaster T. Flight HOTAS. But I can't get into the Game yet.

I have been looking over a lot of the forums, and a can't find the answer to a few basic questions. They are probably right inform of me and I am missing them.

1. Can I get the Beta?

2. Will My forum name be My Commanders Name?

3. Does everyone start all over when the release product comes out?

Guess that is it.

to 1.: no. It is only possible to play the beta when you bought the beta or are a backer. If you preordered ED then you can start on 16th December.
to 2.: When you create a Commander you have the choice to give this commander a name, so both can be different, as far as I know.
to 3.: No, after the typical wipe at the start of the gamma (only a few days before) there will be no wipe at the start of the retail version 1.0
So you will see some pilots in bigger ships. But this is almost better than having trouble in the start systems with thousands of people flying Sidewinders.
I guess that the older pilots fly as far away from the newbees as possible... because of the traffic and the changing market prices.

History and experience tell us that some older pilots will do this,....but you can count on some older pilots hanging around the newbees in order to kill easy prey. Its sad that some get a sense of joy from something that provides little to no challenge,....but I have always warned my friends of what I call the Ahole ratio,.....and that is for every so many people gathered there will be at least one Ahole. MMO's are no different,...and in fact seem to have a higher ratio............

Total PvP is why Eve sucked so much. If this ends up all PvP, I will unfortunately leave.

I get enough preditory A-holes from The Corporate world, I don't want it in my escapism. Unless they let me assassinate the A-Holes, I mean in the game of course.... ;-)

Yes, of course some will call you a "Sucking Carebear", but they don't know how deadly NPC pirates can be.
It's your space Sim, fly the way you enjoy the experience and ignore pro-PvP crying gankers who just want easy noob-kills.

I don't think NPC pirates are deadly. They're pretty much flying paper ships....
