YES! a total Wipe is on the cards,
this means that your commander stats will be wiped,
your credits will be wiped,
your ship will be wiped,
in fact it will be like your commanders existence before gamma never happened.

The only thing that wont be wiped are Group membership.
this means that when you log in, you should be able to join any previous groups.

NO. Gama is early start for backers so unless there is an unplanned problem that necessitates a reset Nov 22 is when we start playing with our new/final Commander.

Having wipes done before the main game launch does not effect me at all. I mean the game has to be patched , updated and so on....... I just hope that come December 16 that we have a more complete Elite game cause right now I don't see a lot.
Why lead people on who pay $50-$10,000 Backing money and get misunderstood that they just want to know what to expect at launch. And tell them the truth. Is there more? Or is this it.?
It's funny there's nerds out there like me that would pay $300 for a game if you just gave them what they wanted.
All us space nerds just want Freelancer + Oblivion mixed together and thrown out there on a Elite Dangerous background. That's it , that's all we are dying to see and play. With never-ending Mods of Corse.
Well I don't care about a refund if the game don't live up to my standards I'll just go back to playing Modded Freelancer and EVE games and wait for the next one. But I do see some great things in this game and it would be a waist to see it not succeed.
Do you know the reason EVE's Mining System works for it's players ? Because it works like a pause. Yes , a DAD or a MOM can do some Mining and take off from the computer and tend to the child or go take a bathroom break. These are things that a real game designer would know. Or one that was old enough or one that knows what people need. Is Frontier a bunch of young kids ? Guess I'll go look it up right now.

So as far as i can tell from the info on the last page and the stock info on the items in the store (in this case Beta Versions), there is no way for me to actually start playing, of course including the wipe, before the official release ?
Is there some option i am overlooking ?
