You may have missed it, but Morbad already engages in that part of the game for quite a very long time. In regards to PvP, Morbad is "one of you". He simply isn't an obnoxious self-righteous so people respect his opinions regardless of agreeing or not on whatever the topic of discussion.

To be brutal all its showing is how utterly irrelevant PVP is, you have to tell people exactly where you are and then both agree to meet up at a certain time or you'll never see each other.

I'd turn up in speed build courier with an interdictor and no weps just for a laugh.
