I've just submitted a support ticket for a name change on my primary commander. I made a hasty correction(*) to the name that I selected at the end of last year, which has been gnawing at me over the months.
I do not make heavy use of integration with thrid party tools. Just Inara for basic analysis and EDDB for VA integration. Because of the simple way that I use it, EDDB should not be phased by then name change. What I do not know if how smooth the name change will be with Inara.
So regarding Inara - the commander in question is linked (through the related Steam account logon) to Frontier API (and only to the Frontier API).
The copy of ED is a steam only verion purchased in December 2019.
Does anybody how how smooth the name change will be with Inara, or what, if anything, to get Inara working again after the change.
(* - so why am I doing this? when selecting commander names, I wanted to choose from significant characters in David Weber's Honorverse books - When I tried ot enter the name McKeon when entering the commander name, it didn;y look right in all CAPS so I inserted a space, and it's the space that's been gnawing at me... I now see that someone else appears to gave the un-gapped version of the name, so to avoid confusion and to get rid of the space, I've requested a change to another character's name from the same book series...)
