Interstellar Prime

https://store.steampowered.com/app/644000/INTERSTELLAR_PRIME/

INTERSTELLAR PRIME merges RPG, RTS, and space simulation genres through seamless gameplay to explore human existence in the space age. Taking place 150 years in the future, mankind has finally acquired all the necessary technologies to contour space. The real question is, does humanity have what it takes to thrive in the unknown reaches of the solar system?

The main goal of the game is to reach Alpha Centauri, in search of a rumored, advanced human society who had supposedly created an Artificial Intelligence believed to be astronomically more advanced than modern scientists can comprehend.

Interstellar Prime will have a strong emphasis on sci-fi realism, the technologies you will see in the game are all based on real science and genuine projects that are being studied by scientists today. This means there will not be things like Teleportation, Mind Reading, or Warp Drives, for example.

Am I the only one that gets concerned for a game when you see very obvious console controller iconography? You know the game, especially UI, ends being designed to work with that input device.

From what I know HOTAS support is not great, certainly not like in ED but it does work.

You mean like Elite?
Pretty much, yes. Way before it was released on console it had been designed to work with a controller. The navigation of menus does not suit a mouse at all, but makes sense with a controller or hat switches on a HOTAS, which is how I play.

You either design your UI to be optimised for a controller or a mouse/keyboard, and the stuff in between is a compromise of sorts.
