Interview with JWE lead writer

Having a lead writer means there will be a story, just wanted to get that out of the way. Cause usually tycoon/building games don't have much story if any at all.

A few really interesting things I want to point out. He talks about a homage to Jurassic Park. Could this be the big secret about Isla Nublar? Will we actually get JP stuff in the game. Even better get to build our own Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar?

Also he talks about a character we have known for along time. My speculation is that it's Nedry. Unless it's someone else. It can't be Hammond unless they find someone who has a similar voice to his. It could be anyone really. But the guy doing the interview talked about Nedry and he didn't say much, like he didn't want to give it away.

I found it interesting.

BestInSlot seems to think we will playing the 1993 Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar in the game. The starter Island we saw in the gameplay reveal takes place right after the Jurassic World incident. So we know Nublar will be destroyed in Fallen Kingdom. So getting to build the 1993 Jurassic Park on Isla Nublar is the only thing that makes sense

stuff like this just makes me all the more excited to actually get into the story of the game. Which is weird because all I've every wanted to do was build my own dinosaur park

If they're linking the game story to external lore of the franchise, particularly things that may not have already been covered in other media outside of the books then that alone would be a reason to take my time AND overlook most of the things myself and others would consider as flaws with the building and presentation aspects of the game

An actual story mode would be fun. As long as that's not all we get. I would still want a free mode with day and night cycles. I wouldn't over look the flaws myself. I mean they have to be addressed.

Hammond could be the character they talked about reconning the motives of - he was dastardly in the books. I could see that easily getting a no from Universal purely because Hammond is loved and respected in the film lore

As for the returning adversary, Nedry wold be an interesting pick, however we've seen him through the movie eyes. I'd much rather have someone like Dodgeson. That could create a really interesting dynamic between Ingen and Biosyn, as well as heavily expand the moral ambiguity of the games story. Would also make a cool plot point if Dodgeson showed up and offered us double or triple the money that the games main missions are offering just to perform some information grabbing tasks

I don't think Wu would be a viable choice. He's in fallen kingdom I believe, so having him in this game would either potentially spoil the film or would need to be locked off and patched in after the film release. Better to make it an older character who has ties to the lore but doesn't have presence in either fallen kingdom or the JW series of films

With what BIS is saying if they could find someone that sounds like Hammond then we could see him returning for the 1993 park on Nublar. Which would be a dream come true.

I really doubt we'll play the 1993 original Jurassic Park on Nublar...imagine all the assets they'd have to remake in that style?? Not to mention they'd have to add all the characters from that version. In the list of characters in the game there wasn't much room for so many characters.

Unless they used the new characters which would make no sense... Not to mention the contract characters would be mixed in with them???

The idea to set each island in a different timeline is such a weird idea, but we'll see how it fits I guess! It will be weird unlocking dinosaurs in one island set in the future and going back to an island in the past and putting those dinos there...

There isn't much that can be done with Nublar. It has to be the 1993 JP. Cause the tutorial island Matanceros takes place right after the fall of Jurassic World.
