Is it normal to get chain interdictions?

Traditionally my response to interdictions was to submit and boost away: apart from anything else, it spared my somewhat elderly and arthritic hands the strain of fighting them.

But I've recently decided to start doing combat in-game (I was regularly testing in the training and challenge scenarios to see if my hands could take the strain, and recently the answer seems to have been yes) and in line with this I've decided to man up and fight interdictions.

Now I'm a Solo player, and only face being interdicted by NPCs. And as is often said here, it's easy to win interdictions against NPCs; in fact I haven't lost one since I started.

However, today, while running missions, I was interdicted in my Cutter. I won that interdiction, only to have another interdiction instantly start. As soon as I won that one....

In all I faced four interdictions, each starting as soon as the last was beaten (yes, I won them all - I may be decrepit but I'm not totally decrepit).

Now since I was running missions I would expect to be interdicted, and running more than one mission at a time I might expect to be interdicted more than once. But four times in a row without any break? Is that normal?

Incidentally, it happened again, on the next run, but that was just two in a row, hardly worth mentioning. Still, I would like to know if this is normal interdiction behaviour, or if I should report it as a bug.

Probably just RNG luck, I've had that happen
you'll have so many runs where literally nothing happens then it sends 4 elite anacondas to kill you

Winning the minigame is still better than submitting and boosting, since NPCs still don't follow the rules, ie never dropping out spinning and can enter supercruise and interdict you again immediately with no cool down.

I think it's normal. Happens to me when I have multiple "ships may be sent against you" missions going at once.

I've noticed an increase in interdictions associated with missions. I don't remember whether "massacre" types ever had them before, but now, if you're carrying a stack of them, expect to have free kills land on your plate before you get to your destination. Sort of a dead pirate aperitif, if you will.

Also, I did a few assassinations. The USS system for those is completely borked, like, laughably broken. Luckily, it doesn't even matter, because both my targets interdicted me within 30 seconds of arriving in the system. Makes things simpler.

A lot of high level (elite) delivery/requisition missions will send four baddies your way--on one mission. I've stack missions going to the same location all the time, but only occasionally do I have eight baddies coming at me two at a time (as in, if you submit to the interdiction, if the other set of baddies it out there, their first guy will jump into the instance too). Bonus points if a random pirate shows up too (I get intruding Type 10s pretty commonly).

The four baddies per mission is kind of silly--I'd prefer it be one per mission, but whatever. Just means if I intend to blow every one of them up, a simple delivery mission can take 30+ minutes or more.

The 4 Anacondas in a row is common with Elite missions. Watch the mining missions, I have seen as many as 9 sent after me on one mission.

On the flip-side of this are players like myself who never seem to get interdicted at all. Was fine when the first update came on Tuesday, but since the new patch today I've not seen a single NPC pirate all day.
