That's not a misjump, that is a "Braben tunnel"™ , completely different animal. A misjump lands you back in normal space just not where you were trying to go, a braben tunnel, you're lost in witch space, potentially forever if the glitch is bad enough.

Not a misjump, but a gltich that happened during an interdiction but honestly, a cool one, I'd love to see such a thing be a feature in game.

In Elite II and Elite III you could force mis jumps and end up in a random places around the galaxy occasionally your drive would fail too and you would mis jump. If my memory serves me right you had to maintain and service ships in the older games

technically you have to in this game too, but the repair costs generally are negligible when you're doing a hop and are all taken care of when people just hit the repair all button on the main docking interface.
