...that has never been criticized to death by this community?
I'm seriously concerned. It is a singular phenomenon. And a negative trend. Every single bit, code snippet, module, patch, feature, game design, even things that still have to come in have been despised by someone (me too!) on this forums.
We are at a point that we often speculate on what next expansion will bring in and start to criticize it! We are a perfect model of modern opulent western society. We have amazing things, we have everything, but we are perpetually dissatisfied. To the many who start threads with the "I have put xxxx hours into this game but...", just think about the beauty of that. You have a toy that was able to keep you nailed for so many hours of your lives. It is something very rare. There are so few masterworks in gaming industry capable of such addictive potential. So let's stop thinking about what we don't like every now and then, and try to enjoy what we do like of Elite: Dangerous. Will we?
“Now and then it’s good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy.”
