Is there a single bit of this game...

There's room for your intelligent conversations AND stupid rants. It's not 'them & us'.

Try to enjoy all facets of this wonderful forum...

Like all curmudgeonly old pensioners, I have to do something between afternoon meds and cocoa. Some gentle use of my wooden spoon can be both amusing and rewarding...

Have noticed that its gone a bit quiet since the recent patch. Can it really be that there is currently nothing in the game to be discussed or complained about??

Great posts guys, I'm having a lot of fun reading different opinions. But the most fun is the challenge to find something in the game that has never been hammered by the forum community. C'mon guys bring it on! By now we still don't have a winner ;) ;) ;)

I do, I do ;)

Actually .. I don't think I ever saw anyone complaining about how module power priorities are set, or the fact you can turn modules on and off. Reboot Systems command may be another winner and Report Crimes Against Me, on and off. Emergency Life Support (not a peep?)

...that has never been criticized to death by this community?

I'm seriously concerned. It is a singular phenomenon. And a negative trend. Every single bit, code snippet, module, patch, feature, game design, even things that still have to come in have been despised by someone (me too!) on this forums.
We are at a point that we often speculate on what next expansion will bring in and start to criticize it! We are a perfect model of modern opulent western society. We have amazing things, we have everything, but we are perpetually dissatisfied. To the many who start threads with the "I have put xxxx hours into this game but...", just think about the beauty of that. You have a toy that was able to keep you nailed for so many hours of your lives. It is something very rare. There are so few masterworks in gaming industry capable of such addictive potential. So let's stop thinking about what we don't like every now and then, and try to enjoy what we do like of Elite: Dangerous. Will we? ;)

Beautiful words, take some rep :)

Oh my .. introduction of CQC rank to the panel, one of THE classic handbags at dawn moments! This was on a scale that's relatively rare .. I reckon it's got to be in the top ten. (MottiKhan .. is a wind up! :D)

Who, me? Yeah, I was one of those that complained about the CQC graphic early on. It seems to be almost universally despised. Power Play, on the other hand, is a treat. ;)

Yeah. Though you and I all know, that everybody realises it's a template, for an alternative BGS, that accesses the Galaxy Map and makes a new mirror. It almost seems to divide the galaxy into "regions" .. eg. of 'thargoid controlled space', 'empire v federation v alliance space' or 'human v andromeda strain (biogenetic plaque) space' etc etc etc. In the same way that we all know (too) that multi-crew is really about distinguishing the player (avatar) from the ship and nest nerworking .. player to player, avatar level, interactions. Dashed clever this Cambridge lot, I tell ye.

I'm pretty sure Power Play hasn't ever been criticized. And the CQC rank graphic on the right hand panel.

I cant type here just how I feel about that damn CQC rank sitting at the bottom of my right hand panel, its like a dead fart that just wont clear the room.

Damn it there I go again moaning about one thing or another...

Here's something that nobody has complained about:

Has there ever been a game that hasn't been criticised to death by their players?

I think forums just attract the type of person who likes to criticise. It's also the perfect venue for entitled people to vent frustration, so attracts them like flies around doo doo.....

....and very occasionally amidst the noise, there are players who offer sensible constructive feedback. The less noise, the more likely that good feedback will be heard.

NO, that's half the fun mate. Can't whinge at work so I do it here. Come, join us, it's great really. Need I go on about exploding collector limpets AGAIN. Hah, thought not. Just cheesing off really.
