One of the only problems i have left to try and resolve in the game (during VR use) is that of ships more than say 1000m from me.
Basically, they start to become an indistinguishable mess of jagged shapes (and sometimes even starts going "double" if too far away to see properly).
Obviously this doesn't happen on a monitor, so it's definitely a VR thing.
I don't have a full list of "settings" to hand, but for reference, I am using the "VR High" quality setting. I am then using 1.5x for the super sampling.
I originally tried setting this in the steamvr.vrsettings file and lowering it / off in game, but that didn't really help. So I set it to 1.5x in game as well and the text seems a bit better (which was why I changed it in the first place).
but I digress - the thing I'm trying to fix is the fact that anything (ships, stations, etc) at a reasonable distance (although not stellar objects. Just stuff that moves) is rendering really poorly for me.
Is there anything I can do to improve this?
Hardwarewise, I am running:
- HTC Vive
- nVidia GTX 980 ti
- i5 4670k
