Is There Anything To It?

I've been wondering about something recently and figured I'd ask here. You know how you'll scan something and occasionally you'll get ANOMALOUS BULK SCAN DATA, or UNEXPECTED EMISSION DATA, or whatever. Does that scan data mean anything special about what you scanned? Like if you scanned a cargo ship and got the ABSD, if you pulled it and used a manifest scanner on it would it be carrying something that the other cargo ships wouldn't be?

Nope - they are just data types which you collect which can be used in engineering.

As far as I am aware there is nothing special about the ships which return this data although I am told that you are more likely to get certain data types from certain ship types.

Might also mean that the ship you're scanning has some engineering on it. Pretty sure I get a reasonable amount of my data from scanning ships in CZs.

yes indeed - not sure exactly what has been engineered on the ships but that can mean different data is available when scanned
