Jameson crash site?

I just recently found out about the Jameson crash site where apparently I can get high grade encoded data - exactly what I am always lacking for engineering.

So, I flew out to HIP 12099 1 B and did a full surface scan, expecting the crash site to appear as a point of interest in my Navigation panel. I see no mention of it - is there something I'm missing? I can find the coordinates for the site if I Google but I have a couple of issues with that - I've never navigated in that fashion so don't know how to do it. Also, if it's not showing in my panel is there a possibility it's no longer there? I saw another thread complaining that it had gone after a patch early in the month but there's been at least one more patch since.

Any ideas anyone?

It is there - I took a new altCMDR of mine there last week. First time around the co-ordinates need to be navigated to "by hand". After scanning the Cobra the POI will appear on the left huD as a target on the planet at the next visit.

Some of those sites that have coordinates are very had to find with a scan.
There are apps that can calculate a vector for you to follow so you can home in on coords.
I tend to just fly along until I get to the latitude, then turn 90degrees and run down to the longitude

DSS shows it as a POI - tends to vanish on glide, but can be re-acquired afterwards.

OK, thanks for confirming it is there - guess I'll need to learn how to navigate there "by hand".

I wasn't getting it earlier - had def scanned the whole planet and could see a load of geographics but def no crash site...

This is something I need to learn to do it appears.
