Jump range preventing me from taking passengers?

OK so I just upgraded to a Dolphin and I'm planning to start doing some deep space exploring and passenger transit... taking a look at some of the passenger jobs, most of them want to go a quarter the way across the galaxy! Cool :) However, whenever I try to plot any course, it says it exceeds my range. I've even made sure that nothing in the Galaxy Map has "apply to my course" checked on so it should just be calculating a purely straightforward path.... even though they head inward toward the core, are all of these passenger trips really taking me places where my Dolphin can't go?
Related, here's my Dolphin: https://s.orbis.zone/d7zs ...so, what do I really need to go by for Jump Range? What's the difference between "Laden" and "Total Laden" -- both say "Full Cargo and Full Fuel Tank".
Thanks for any feedback!

Although 22 lys is really short it is possible to get from Sol to Sagittarius A* using your ship (Here's an example route: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1dhCgzKBbmSib_aupM0XAtEUgYKgV32Sh7X_vm8dgfEo/edit?usp=sharing ).

The in game plotter tries to go as straight as possible, this may lead to problems as there may be permit locked regions or really sparse areas on the way.
To avoid this try plotting shorter distances to see how far you can get and if anything fails you could try Spansh' route plotter to get you out of your misery.

Oh that plotter is fascinating! Very cool! :O I just plugged in one of the possible passenger destinations, and it gave me a path! ... that would take 1200 jumps! LOL Well, good thing I'm marathoning "Babylon 5"....

As always: Be aware that those out-of-game tools always lead you through already discovered systems. So if you want to find undiscovered things on your way plot as much as you can using the in game plotter.
Also take a look at your mission timer, you have to get to your destination and all the way back in this time frame, at 1200 jumps per way you could easily run out of time.

Eep! Yeah, I see. Hmm.... kinda doesn't make the couple million in cred worth it :/

Because the distance you are trying to plot is greater than 20,000ly, according to your jump range and number of jumps you are trying to plot a route length of around 24,000ly. 20,000ly is the maximum range of the plotter regardless of the jump range of your ship. There's nothing stopping you taking the passengers, you just need to set a course using shorter route lengths! I am surprised no-one has mentioned this already.

I consider this included in my 'if unable to plot, plot a shorter distance' part, but yeah I could have elaborated that a bit more :D

Players who weren't around when the max plot distance was 1,000ly and less just don't realise there's a max plot range, until they try to plot all the way to Colonia that is! It's something that us players who were around then just take for granted. Yes I knew immediately what you meant but new players need to have it actually explained because it's not a natural realisation for them.

By stripping off your weapons, utility mounts, downgrading thrusters and powerplant and switching to lightweight alloys, I managed to grab another ~5 ly jump range to your build, if you wanted to go down that route. I suppose also you could stock up on materials and use the FSD boost. Also swapping your docking computer or supercruise assist for a guardian FSD booster adds another 4 ly.

A bit of messing about and engineering has given me this: Linky

If you go that far, you want to engineer your FSD.
I suggest you take a couple of mid distance passenger missions to make extra money. Take a DSS because the exploration makes more money than the passenger mission.
This is the build I suggest for taking tourists on a tour in the bubble.

Then engineer your FSD, then take the long distance missions.
