Jumping into systems should revert highlight to top of the list. Material trades should reset to 0, too....

Doesn't it bother anybody jumping into a system from the panel list only to find that the highlighter is irrelevantly still set to the part highlighted prior to the jump? Filters are good, but why doesn't the highlighter default to the Star at the top of the panel list with each consecutive jump?

Also, the Material Trader is a bit of a sneaky con should anybody be in a hurry to trade up a few things here and there. If I trade up 20 of one material but flick to another with the intention to trade only one lot at the ratio set, I might quickly press right once to do this. However, the previously allocated number remains set from the other material traded. So if you're not careful you might quickly lose a larger sum of the rarer good because the number doesn't reset to zero with each consecutive trade.

Did Fdev do this to increase the likelihood of error and therefore subsequent further grind to recover the lost goodies? 🤔. Lol.

This is one of the most annoying little quirks of the game for me. I see it as yet more evidence that a lot of the devs just don't play their own game.
 
Hm, personally I'd rather they fix the FSS and stop it locking up on exit, but I guess ppl have different priorities....
I think it is far to expect them to fix more than one thing at a time.....

For me, I use the nav panel way way more than FSS, but I'm mostly a trader and combat pilot. I'm sure explorers consider the FSS a bigger issue.

Yeah, because fixes and improvements should be limited to that when they have over 100 people working on Elite, right? Surely they could implement what I'm talking about very quickly, so the FSS fix shouldn't be taxed too much.
 
With some bugs you can say, in difficult things there are bound to be difficulties; but the Material Trader bug is just carelessness.
 
It would be nice if it reset to the top on FS

I am struggling to care though. I am normally looking for something insystem and the new hilighting mechanism is more important to me.
