Jurassic World Evolution 3 | Gameplay Trailer

I feel like you owe the community some transparency on will all the species in JWE2 be in JWE3, since you want us to commit 100’s of hours into this new game I think you owe us every single species from JWE2 DLC species and all. There are plenty of game developers that are updating and adding to games that are 20 years old,( halo , halo 2, bounty hunter, tomb raider, gears of war, uncharted, midevil,) just to name a few so why could you not just update and add to JWE2, I feel that I’m going to wait until all dlc is released before getting this game unless you can say before the games launch, all species from JWE2 will be added to the game through updates and or dlc at some point during its life cycle.

Development plans change so they can't say precisely which species will be added post-launch. You can play as much as you want and only get the dino DLC that you like.
 
It looks great. Customizable buildings, finally baby and male dinos, breeding with traits, better lighting (global illumination), easier to share parks, prettier water and waterfalls, more scenery items, higher level of detail. Good job.

I wonder how much bigger is the map size?

It is certain the maps will be bigger than the square maps in Jurassic World: Evolution 2. There is no telling how many species will be in Jurassic World: Evolution 3.

Is there an estimate of the new map size limit?

Yeah, but I want accurate counterparts to the Jurassic Park dinosaurs, like what we got with Sinosauropteryx (basically an accurate Compsognathus) and Utahraptor (a good paleo-accurate replacement for the film canon's raptors), to name a few. So maybe Oxalaia (for a paleo-accurate Spinosaurus representation), Sinosaurus/Dracovenator (for the paleo-accurate Dilophosaurus representation), Zhuchengtyrannus/Daspletosaurus (for the paleo-accurate Tyrannosaurus/Tarbosaurus representation), Adasaurus/Tsaagan (for the paleo-accurate Velociraptor representation), and Dromaeosaurus/Saurornitholestes (for the paleo-accurate Atrociraptor representation) would be nice starts. ;)

Also, Dr. Wu is not always correct. In fact, visitors often (not always, but still) want more accurate animals as opposed to more teeth (I'm looking at you, Indominus rex).

Many dinos should have feathers for accurate representation. Maybe we can breed feathered variants of the dinos.

In-depth video analysis:

As Evolution Square said in her video, IGN confirmed since June 9 that there are "over 240" models, no doubt for males, females, and juveniles. 82 x 3 is 246. But what (surprisingly) nobody on Earth that I've seen myself has ever said is that doesn't make any sense.

Not every dinosaur has breeding. 75 of the 82 dinos do, which means 7 dinosaurs won't, reducing it to 225 models instead. So, it wouldn't make sense that those seven dinos will all have three models at launch. An educated guess that I've made is six of these are variants, which are only the Jurassic World trilogy and JWE variants, while the other that would make a seventh count is a species that doesn't. That makes it 243 models total, so that's still "over 240."



The dinosaurs I specifically include in this theory are: Allosaurus (JWE), Dimorphodon (2015 or 2022), Giganotosaurus (JWE), Dreadnoughtus (JWE), Iguanodon (JWE), and Parasaurolophus (2022, which isn’t a variant in JWE2 but something I do believe will be so in JWE3). That also means I don't think the Jurassic Park trilogy variants will have family units, because I don't think those will be in the game at launch based on what's known about the confirmed model count.

If they want to make it more realistic they should have male + female juvenile dinos. So 82 x 4 = 328 models.

I wanted to share an idea about the building limits on consoles like Xbox Series S and Series X in Jurassic World Evolution games.


In previous versions, there were hard limits on species and constructions to avoid crashes, but often players weren't warned before hitting these limits. This sometimes leads to unexpected crashes or game closures, which can be very frustrating—especially after investing hours building a park.


I think it would be great if the game included a real-time warning system that notifies players when their park is approaching the console’s performance limit. For example:


“Warning: Your park is reaching 90% of the console’s capacity. Continuing to build may cause performance issues or crashes.”

This kind of system would help players manage their parks better, save progress more carefully, and avoid losing progress due to sudden crashes.


Overall, a warning system would improve the player experience on consoles by making the limits clear, instead of abruptly stopping or crashing the game.

Troodontids tend to have lighter builds than dromaeosaurids, which would cause them to look quite different from the other raptors if they were given a feathered variant. Additionally, Troodon fossils have been found in Alaska, which were found to be larger than the ones found further south. By giving Troodon a feathered variant, it would help make it look more naturalistic. Some other Troodontid species that could be used include:
Mei long
Latenivenatrix
Gobivenator
Hypnovenator
Hesperornithoides
Almas ukhaa
Sinusonasus

Sigh... the fact that Deinonychus was the only animal to receive a fuzzy remake was certainly a disappointment... so many dinosaurs they could have updated with a feathered skin.

It would have been nice to get at least one more species, like Liaoningosaurus, Pelecanimimus, Masiakasaurus, Magnapaulia, Halszkaraptor, Rahonavis, Cyclotosaurus, or Koolasuchus, but it seems to be a nice pack regardless of that given the amount of content it has in it. I might get it once I get the game.

Sigh... Irritator is thoroughly overrated could have been easily replaced by a lot of things, including Ichthyovenator, a very interesting spinosaur known from a lot more than just a fragmented head... Austroraptor is probably the coolest addition... Hypsilophodon is the most useful though, coexisting with Iguanodon and Polacanthus...

Since in one of Frontier's posts indicated that they intended to rectify this, although they didn't say how, and that the developers might be looking for suggestions to attract the attention of some of the players who might have lost interest in the game during the time it was experiencing delays, I thought I would make some suggestions here. One suggestion I have is in addition to adding the free monthly species that are missing, the developers could add an additional frequently requested species to the game in the coming months that are not currently part of the group of species the developers are currently planning on adding back into the game. Some species I would recommend using include:
Plateosaurus, A genus of plateosaurid dinosaur that lived during the Late Triassic period, around 214 to 204 million years ago, in what is now Central and Northern Europe. Adults of this species grew between 4.8 to 10 meters (16 to 33 feet) in length, and ranged in mass from 600 to 4,000 kilograms (1,300 to 8,800 lb.). These animals are believed to have lived for at least 12 to 20 years, but the maximum life span is not known. The oldest individual found was around 27 years of age and was still growing. The meaning of its name is not clearly understood. In 1846, a geologist speculated that "(πλᾰτῠ́ς, breit)" [English: broad] was the origin of the name, German paleontologist believed its name was derived from the stem of πλᾰτέος (plateos), the genitive case of the masculine adjective platys in Ancient Greek. In the same year, another researcher proposed that the name derives from the Ancient Greek πλατη (platê – "paddle", "rudder"; the researcher translates this as Latin pala = "spade") and σαυρος (sauros – "lizard").

Scelidosaurus, A species of herbivorous armored ornithischian dinosaur from the Jurassic period found in the British Isles. Its fossils have been found in the Charmouth Mudstone Formation near Charmouth in Dorset, England. It grew between 3.8 and 4 meters (12.5 and 13 feet) and weighed around 270 kilograms (600 lbs.) Scelidosaurus is currently the only classified dinosaur found in Ireland. It is the most completely known dinosaur of the British Isles. The genus name is derived from Greek skelis/σκελίς meaning 'rib of beef' and sauros/σαυρος meaning 'lizard'. The paleontologist that found it intended to call the dinosaur "hindlimb saurian" but confused the Greek word σκέλος, skelos, "hindlimb", with σκελίς, skelis, "rib of beef".

Inostrancevia, An extinct genus of large carnivorous therapsids who lived during the Late Permian in what is now European Russia and South Africa. The first known fossils of this gorgonopsian were discovered in the Northern Dvina, where two almost complete skeletons were exhumed. Inostrancevia is the biggest known gorgonopsian, the largest fossil specimens indicating an estimated size between 3 and 3.5 meters (9.8-11 feet) long.

Scutosaurus, An extinct genus of pareiasaur parareptiles. Its genus name, which means shield lizard, refers to large plates of armor scattered across its body. Fossils have been found in the Sokolki Assemblage Zone of the Malokinelskaya Formation in European Russia, close to the Ural Mountains, dating to the late Permian (Lopingian) between 264 and 252 million years ago. It grew to be about 2.5–3 meters (8 – 9 feet) in length and weighing up to 1,160 kilograms (2,560 lb.).

Ornitholestes, A small theropod dinosaur of the late Jurassic (about 154 million years ago) found in the Brushy Basin Member of the Morrison Formation of Western Laurasia (the area that was to become North America). Ornitholestes was about 2 meters (6.6 ft.) long. While it is believed they mostly hunted small animals for food, they might have hunted larger prey, like a half-grown Camptosaurus, by hunting in packs. The genus name Ornitholestes means "bird robber" and is derived from the Greek ὄρνις/ornis, ornithos ("bird") and λῃστήσ/lestes ("robber"). The species name (O. hermanni) honors Adam Hermann, the head preparator at the Museum, who directed the restoration and mounting of the skeleton. Often times, Ornitholestes has been portrayed as having scaly skin with no feathers; although there have been some rare exceptions. It would be nice to see this iconic species added to the game as a feathered species.

Shunosaurus, a genus of sauropod dinosaur from Late Jurassic (Oxfordian) beds in Sichuan Province in China, from 161 to 157 million years ago. It grew between 9.5 and 11 meters (31-36 feet) and weighed around 3 metric tons (3.3 short tons). In 1989, researchers discovered that the tail ended in a club, equipped on its top with two successive spikes formed by cone-shaped osteoderms with a length of 5 centimeters (2.0 inches), which it was believed to be used to fend off predators. The generic name derives from "Shu", an ancient name for Sichuan. The specific name honors hydrologist Li Bing, the governor of Sichuan in the third century BC.

Elaphrosaurus, A genus of ceratosaurian theropod dinosaur that lived approximately 154 to 150 million years ago during the Late Jurassic Period in what is now Tanzania in Africa. Elaphrosaurus was a medium-sized but lightly built member of the group that could grow up to 6.2 m (20 ft) long. Morphologically, this dinosaur is significant in two ways. Firstly, it has a relatively long body but is very shallow-chested for a theropod of its size. Secondly, it has very short hindlimbs in comparison with its body. It is thought that it likely hunted the small and swift ornithopod herbivores. However, newer research supports the idea that Elaphrosaurus was either a herbivore or omnivore.

Yangchuanosaurus, An genus of metriacanthosaurid theropod dinosaur that lived in China from the Middle Jurassic to Early Cretaceous periods. Yangchuanosaurus hails from the Upper Shaximiao Formation and Suining Formation and was the largest predator in the area during that time. It is believed to have grown between 26 and 36 feet long and weighed around 3 tons. This theropod was named after the area in which was discovered, Yongchuan, in China.

Nyctosaurus, A genus of nyctosaurid pterosaur from the late Cretaceous period of what is now the Niobrara Formation of the mid-western United States, which, during the time Nyctosaurus was alive, was covered in an extensive shallow sea. Some remains belonging to a possible Nyctosaurus species have been found in Brazil. At least one species possessed an extraordinarily large antler-like cranial crest. Its name means night lizard or bat lizard.

Archaeopteryx, A genus of avian dinosaurs. It is believed to be capable of flying or gliding, but this is still being debated. It could reach up to 0.5 meters (1.8 feet) in body length and 0.7 meters (2.4 feet) in wingspan, with an estimated mass of 0.5 to 1 kilogram (1.1 to 2.2 lbs.).The name derives from the ancient Greek ἀρχαῖος (archaīos), meaning "ancient", and πτέρυξ (ptéryx), meaning "feather" or "wing". It is sometimes referred to by its German name, "Urvogel", which means Primeval Bird.

Magyarosaurus, A genus of dwarf sauropod dinosaur from late Cretaceous period in Romania. It is one of the smallest-known adult sauropods, measuring only 6 m (20 ft) in length and 750–1,000 kg (1,650–2,200 lb) in body mass. It is known to have had osteoderms.

Leaellynasaura, A genus of small herbivorous ornithischian dinosaurs from the Early Cretaceous (dated to between 118 and 110 million years ago), first discovered in Dinosaur Cove, Australia. It grew to be around 90 centimeters (3 feet) in length. It is named after Leaellyn Rich, the daughter of the Australian palaeontologist couple Tom Rich and Patricia Vickers-Rich who discovered it. The specific name, amicagraphica, translates to "friend writing" and honours both the Friends of the Museum of Victoria and the National Geographic Society for their support of Australian paleontology. It was featured in the walking with dinosaurs documentary series.

Tanystropheus, An extinct genus of archosauromorph reptile which lived during the Triassic Period in Europe, Asia, and North America. Tanystropheus is one of the most well-described non-archosauriform archosauromorphs, known from numerous fossils, including nearly complete skeletons. Some species within the genus may have reached a total length of 6 meters (20 feet), making Tanystropheus the longest non-archosauriform archosauromorph as well. Its genus name means long hinged.

Temnodontosaurus, An extinct genus of ichthyosaur from the Early Jurassic period. They lived between 200 and 175 million years ago in England, France, Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, and possibly Chile. It grew between 6 and 10 meters (20-33 ft.) long. Its diet likely consisted mainly of vertebrates such as fish, cephalopods, plesiosaurs and other ichthyosaurs. One specimen was found with the remains of Stenopterygius, another ichthyosaur, in its abdominal cavity. It is the only Jurassic ichthyosaur genus for which a mainly-vertebrates diet has been proposed. It is known for its incredibly large eyes which, at approximately 20 cm (7.9 in) in diameter, are believed to be the largest of any known animal. The genus name is derived from the Greek words temno, meaning "to cut", odont, meaning "tooth", and sauros, meaning "lizard".

Another suggestion is that the developers could create a species pack or expansion later in the year that contains a large number of highly requested species and decorations, like a pack focusing on the Triassic or Permian Periods.
