Apparently there will be two kinds of thargies. The violent and non violent. Surely we should be making friends with the nonviolent kind to try to get an edge on the monsters.

Excellent progress is being made. Keep it up! Let the Mahon regime know you will not stand for their manipulative and subversive ways!
That said, be intense with what your doing but please don't forget that this is a game. Be diligent but enjoy life. It's summer! Have some fun outside. This game is not a job nor should it be viewed as one. We all appreciate the dedication of every individual involved. I just want to make sure all are happy and enjoying the game, not approaching this like it's a job.

I have NEVER pledged to Mahon! I have been playing this game for quite some time. So long in fact, that my answer is practically common knowledge.

Not fond of Alliance due to their brutal underhanded tactics and lack of concern for civilian casualties in acquiring new systems. The Alliance Intelligence Service has a tendency to try and cause wars to break out, especially between Federation and Empire, for personal gain.
The Federation may secretly answer to their Corporations, the Empire to their Senators and Emperor, but the Alliance answers to their Admirals and Intelligence Agency behind the scenes.
Edit: and that's the lore stuff, the Alliance playerbase meanwhile is suspected of doing some very underhanded Powerplay tactics, including (redacted at request of source) and solo/private sniping. I don't see many Alliance in Open compared to Empire and especially Federation, the latter are always out in force.

All power is brutal and underhanded. My distaste for the alliance comes from their constant outsourcing of manufacturing. At least the Feds and the imps make their own ships.
Seriously? your dislike of the Alliance is based on FD not putting existing lore in game about the Alliance shipyards? Victim Blaming? The Alliance (Mahon!) was wearing a short skirt and was therefore asking for it?
We are forced to hold our noses and infiltrate the 2 other navies and steal their ships. Security and intel of their navies are obviously very lax if not nonexistent. How could you possibly trust them?
I really dislike when people view clear issues with the game as evidence of evil-doing by factions. Drawing conclusions about the Alliance because FD hasn't given the Alliance any ships or naval progression is stupid. "I can hold rank in both the Imperial and Federal navies! Clear proof that they are colluding to hide the Thargoid threat! All the wars are really just manufactured distractions! Rabble rabble."

If you aren't interested in being a member of the Maquis but work against the Alliance, there are still many ways to do so and you should still message me.

1. We in no way condone combat logging! Learn how to fight and/or learn how to run. Can't do either, then you shouldn't be bothering with this game.
2. Players are innocent until proven guilty in my book. All are given the benefit of the doubt by me unless there is substantial proof otherwise. Keep in mind that we are formed based on my knowledge of the Mahon faction's underminded and manipulative agenda.
3. When we are not revolutionists against Mahon in favor of the Federation, we are humanitarians. No matter what faction they are besides the Alliance, we assist in easing the suffering of the sick and hungry!
4. We don't attack players indiscriminately! Anything that says "Edmund Mahon" is a valid target. Strongly consider "No Faction" targets based on location and system awareness! Mahon uses and has the support of MANY No Faction players!

I'm a little disappointed though, I was expecting something obvious from today's Powerplay tick. Have you not started working against the Alliance yet? Surely this isn't all just talk on your part. What exactly is it that you underhanded, devious miscreants are doing that is affecting things so little as to go unnoticed?

Until further notice, we are not taking in former 13th Legion people. The 13th Legion is largely behind the use of an exploit involving the engineers. I don't condone cheaters and exploiters! This is a game and as such, it speaks volumes of a person that will cheat or exploit their way to an advantage rather than just working to get better at the game. I always appreciate the help, but this is not the kind of help we need and "birds of the same feather tend to flock together."
As always, enjoy the game. Just please do so most of the time at Mahon's expense. ;-)

A thing of note......I do recommend that you more casual playing CMDR's use the Maquis Fighter Cobra Mk3 build. This build is more in-line with Maquis operations and will make you a better pilot through use. If credits are an issue, just let me know in game and we'll get you equipped.
